OK this was new to me. Got my wife a subtank mini on a istick 30w. We went a she tasted some e liquid about 2 weeks ago. She doesn't vape but maybe 10 hits a day. This juice is 50/50 0mg red in color called fruity mango melon.

Alright well I had a brand new 1.2 ohm coil in there for 2 weeks now since I got her setup. Today she was taking hits then looked at me and said it taste burnt. I tried and was def dry. Took the coil out and the eliquid was like jello covering the out shell and juice channels. The liquid in the tank looked fine, but just blobbed around the coil casing like I said.

Has this happend to anyone else? I personally never had this happen in any tanks I've left sit with juice in them. I'm wondering if its something to do with the red in it. I've got plenty of coils, but the way she vapes a tank full will seriously last a month easily for her and the coils should last quite awhile. Also she only vapes at 12 watts.

Most everything I've gotten has been clear in exception of the yellowing due to nicotine. I may email them and see what's up also.

I've seen plenty of juices with that much color that didn't have any food coloring. That being said, from the picture it looks like the bottle is half empty and the juice has dyed the top half which would make me suspect that there is food coloring in it.

My first thought was that they maybe used a fruit extract that somehow contained pectin and the heat from the coil caused it to jell up, however sugar is also required for that to happen and there shouldn't be any sugar in it.

wow - I agree, if it stained the bottle it probably had food coloring, and that's not good!

Will you let us know what they say?
Yeah I will let you know. I wasn't asking for a replacement or anything, it was just a 10ml bottle, but more so asking why it would do that, and just being blobbed around the casing like that. It seems to me that heat from the coil somehow caused it to do that. Which basically blocked juice from wicking.

Never had that happen with any of their e liquids but all mine are clear except for peanut butter cup which is dark brown, and had no problems with it.

I finally receive a reply. I'm not mentioning vendor just what they said about this particular e liquid.

Fruity Mango Melon is a flavor that uses a particular food-grade flavoring that is more viscous than most others. (It is also the source of the color you mention, which is an ingredient in the food-grade flavoring we use.) Especially with sub-ohm coils, you might try this flavor with a bit more PG than you generally would. We'd be glad to replace your bottle if you'd like to give it a shot that way, or if you'd prefer to try another flavor without that particular flavoring.
