That's funny.

There are several questionable, and very amusing, characters on Reddit.

But there are also a good number of very knowledgeable folks there.

Honestly i am glad when i started vaping and had questions and problems i had the luck to find e.c.f and got real help from people that know what they talking about.
After a while i checked reddit vaping groups and i was shocked because i saw many people give advices while obviously they dont know much about vaping if at all which is wierd because if u dont know better not talk cause u may cause more problems to someone.
Ofc there are people that really know vaping and maybe some are e.c.f members also lol but really the level is very low in general.

Many times i think that i wish all this traffic would come to e.c.f instead of going there but other times i feel like most people are dispo users and young people that are maybe more trouble than good with the questions and posts they make lol

Yeah, we certainly get a good supply of dumbassery (not a real word but you know what I mean) right here lol.

If social media, and the internet as a whole, legitimately did this, I think my impressions of our society would be about 73.85% more positive than it is.

Hell no. Like 75%+ of their users are dispo vapers and those only interested in mini-pod devices. While I support the use of these devices if it means getting off of the stinkies, there's quite literally nothing to discuss about them other than to troubleshoot why said user is experiencing leaking or getting dry hits. No thanks.

If that was reddit ECR, then you should check out r/QuitVaping. I'm pretty sure that it's mostly ANTZ posting as though they are vapers looking to quit. Would not surprise me if that sub was started by ANTZ. They spread a s... ton of lies about vaping. I'm not against people quitting vaping, but that sub is over the top with claims. There's a new post there where a guy claims vaping "ruined" his life. Is that even possible?

The only thing useful on reddit in terms of vape is r/ecigclassifieds (edited to add: not to be confused with r/ecig_classifieds, which has been dead for a few years now)

There are many decent sellers on Reddit. Been there done that.

One of the keys to successful buying on Reddit is avoiding those with low "Swaps" numbers.

Those selling with high Swaps numbers are usually decent folks. Like with anything there are always the anomalies.

Like this one from gunnermcgavin posted yesterday. He is a very well known seller.

    https://www.reddit.com/r/ecigclassifieds/comments/tff5z2/usnyhhigh_end_modswpaypal/

One can always check out their past history.

I'd be leery of even the reddit classifieds. Lots of scammers there.

Gotta use your head or you will be scammed. I have 24 seller transactions and 2 buyer transactions there with the past 4 months along with maybe 5 "off the books" transactions. Never been scammed. I don't bother with people who have reddit accounts less than 2 years old unless they have a bunch of sales under their belt. I also look at their post history to see if they seem trustworthy. The vast majority (like 99.9%) of scams that take place there seem to be with high-en and mid-tier gear, of course. Lots of suckers in that market. But I don't buy or sell that stuff, just cheap chinese junk lol.

Not necessarily true. I have done transactions with a couple folks with no swaps but had reddit accounts that are 5+ years old with - no problems.

Shortly after I started vaping instead of smoking I found ECF. I haven't browsed thru or joined any other forums or social media vaping platforms, except the CASAA facebook thing because I'm a mod ;) in their WV state group. I'm more than happy with this forum and oh so greatful for the advice I got here early on and I have no desire to 'find another spot'.

Oh, I am a member of another vaping forum, but it's Reserve is Private..

This dude states that vaping is causing him to be suicidal.

    https://www.reddit.com/r/QuitVaping/comments/tict0v/suicidal_and_exhausted_since_quitting/

1st post under that account. ANTZ post.

I remember a guy on reddit blaming vaping nicotine for everything like he cant get out of bed and go to work and said his brain was fogy and even his girlfriend left him cause of the brain fog but now that he quit he feels amazing and his brain is clear now.

I checked his tho profile and had like 10 posts asking people to tell him their opinion about the different styles of his beard and showing of his beard and btw in every pic the beard was looking exactly the same.
And in general he had some other posts i cant remember that show he was was a wierd 25year old guy even tho he dont vape now and has a clear brain lmao.

I didnt wonder why his girl left him tho and i am curious what he will think to blame the next time his girl leave him.

The problem is that most pf those people are just stupid or crazy and its not any propaganda they try to do :(

I am beyond happy that when I decided to stop using all-in-one basic stuff and ego cartomizers I found this forum rather than stumbling upon Reddit. Not saying that Reddit has no one of any sort of knowledge just that it's very mixed because of the lack of moderation which can be a good thing in some situations but not if you're brand new to building coils or something. Then you need tried and tested advice not anything goes.

ECF was my 2nd forum, found very shortly after starting (a month, maybe?). My first was the V2 Forum, which was also very good, and I enjoyed it a lot. ECF changed my game though.

10+ years later, I'm still trying to figure out whether that was a good or bad thing ("GOT STUFF???"). ;)

It was a VERY good thing, for the record. :D

    Reddit is useful.

I couldn't sleep one night and was flipping through channels and came across some documentary about Kobe Bryant. This was shortly after his death.

So I got curious.. I Googled KB's death and got a lot of links to Reddit. A couple of these links, I'll just say... gave a lot of info, medical examiner sketches, autopsy reports, etc.

Btw, it wasn't a good bedtime read at all. That stuff was on my mind for a couple of days.
