hey all, i have been getting into the whole rba thing lately but, my wicks, wire and rba's aren't here yet. so, in the meen time i've been doing more reading and got into the cotton wick thread! after reading about how clean the flavor is with "organic" cotton i remembered i have a T3 that doesn't have any wicks so i went to the closest drug store grabbed a bag of cotton balls raced home and began to make a wick for the coil. after putting a darning needle through it and staightening the coil out best i could! i then pulled a thick peice of coton off a ball and twisted the end really tight but, it just puffed up so i wet the end, twisted it up again and threaed it through the coil. cool i thought, that's looks pretty good. trimmed it up and was done with that part.
the next part was to make a flavor wick. this is where i had issues. the first attempt it flooded so, i made a thicker wick and forced that sucker in the slot! well, now it didnt work worth beans. burnt the flavor wick and the coil wick, arrrgggg. made a new pair of wicks this time making the flavor wick a bit thinner and whalla! it wicked great with no flooding or dry hit! the taste is better comparded to the factory silica wicks! can't wait to put a whole new coil in it! and see how it vapes then...
i was bored today so i thought i would go all out ghetto and, share my results
thanks for reading...
