Refilling cartomizer problem. kr808

Hey all,

let me get to the chase. I boiled up some cartomizers, stuck em in the oven for a bit and let em completely dry out. i filled up a proper amount of juice in a cap and refilled the cart. Problem is: i'm not getting a good hit out of it. The little led at the end of the batterry keeps blinking after a short amount of time, and then stops. (yes, i'm a noob at refilling the juice) i'm not quite sure what i'm doing wrong. I followed the video and everything.

I'm using Madvapes ry4 18Mg - a myvaporstore Cartomizer and my ecig is a kr808 from cigirex.

Sounds like they aren't dry all the way.
I put my cleaned carts aside for several days before I try to use them again.
Pick one up and blow through it. You should feel plenty of air coming out the other end.
If there is any resistance at all they aren't dry.

I threw em in the oven, and let em dry overnight. it's been about 80 degrees here in Los angeles so i'm pretty sure the sucker is dry.

Is the carto you refilled making any popping or crackling sounds? Maybe you overfilled it.

My experience with refilling cartos has been hit and miss. Don't really know why just doesn't always work.

For me clearomizers have given me a lot more consistency. No boiling, no drying in the oven. Not that they don't come without other problems.

You wouldn't be using automatic batteries by any chance would you? You know the kind where you don't have to hit a button. You just take a hit. If so, it's possible that either you overfilled the carto or it wasn't completely dry and dripped into the battery. If that's what happened, it's dead. That's why you'll see most people on here recommend manual batteries. There's no hole to leak into.

it is an automatic battery, but it works with the prefilled cartos

it does this. should i leave the cap off for a bit and let it dry out?

In my experience this means it wasn't completely dry when you refilled it.

I put em in the oven for at least 90 mins at 225 after boiling. If there's any water in em they just won't work.

Even letting it sit for a few days probably won't help. At least they are pretty cheap. It sux wasting juice though.

Going back and reading your original post, it's hard to tell. Did you boil a batch of them or just one? Those things are supposed to be disposable. It's probably a dead atty in the carto. Just toss it.

Interesting. But my kr808D-1 manual battery has the hole in it.

I don't know this from experience because I haven't used a KR808 since that horrible KR808D2 rebrand that I started with. However, I understand that on the manuals that hole is sealed internally.

+1 on this. I skipped regular cartos & went straight to the clears. Easy to clean, easy to tell fluid levels, fairly easy to split :O Now I just need to replace a couple of the tubes :)

I have 5 manual KR808's from 2 different companies and they all have holes in them. It confused me when I read people on this forum talking about the manual batteries being sealed. I'm just assuming at this point that some are and some aren't. There are so many different companies out there.
