I am rapidly getting sick and tired personally of "competition" threads where you have to constantly re-enter, which is the same as the vendor getting bumped on pages constantly and raising (skewing their profile and popularity). I believe bumping threads is frowned upon for general users (i know its frowned upon in threads on other forums, especially for sale threads), so why should vendors get an exception?

Shouldnt a competition be a simple enter once affair like in every other competition ive ever entered anywhere but here?

Its hardly fair to have to constantly re-enter, a more fair system is everyone gets to enter once, instead of those who have more idle time hammering in entries and skewing the odds (or effectively reducing the odds) for everyone else?

The current system is patently unfair, imposes additional overheads (in both cpu time and storage) on the forum software and increased traffic...

When i enter a competition i want to have some chance of feeling i have the same odds as everybody else, not devote precious time to make sure ive reentered the nth time to even feel like im keeping up. the current system rewards those who have more free time to track and keep up with these multi entry competitions, and that skews the playing field, making it anything but level.

Cant we get a fair system?

Time to reform competition rules?

Suppliers can run their competitions in any manner they choose as long as it conforms to the supplier and site rules.
I appreciate the quick reply, but do you not see that the current arrangement is hardly fair to all members and maybe it could be adjusted?

Cheers

We're not going to dictate to them how to run their own competitions. If you don't agree with their method, don't enter.

I would have appreciated a bit more of a thoughtful response, especially this "If you don't agree with their method, don't enter", but accept this may have been legitimately for brevity!

I guess i just dont want to feel like im the only one who thinks its horribly broken in this community atmosphere :)

Cheers
