I won't buy one of these until they get the ordering system SHAPED UP.
I think its ridiculous how they make people fight for them. No thanks.

Thank you for your feedback. It is always good to hear what folks think. However, this approach was decided upon after much careful consideration. Many different approaches have been considered. In the end, the decision was made with the following in mind.
1. Rob does not feel comfortable taking money for something that is not ready to ship. Personally, I find this to be a very sound ethic and practice.
2. It is easier to track orders, when the product is built and ready to ship... for pre-orders, Rob would be chasing customers down to get payment when their mod is ready. Seems like an inefficient use of time and effort to me for one person making hundreds of mods a month.
3. As you have seen on many threads throughout this site, people waiting for their ordered items tend to get angry when there is a hiccup in the supply chain and everything is delayed....which happens ALL of the time.
4. The focus is on increasing production to address the demand...and that focus has netted massively improved supply over the last year...and this continues to improve.
5. There are still mods on the site the day after the sale opened....so I'm unclear as to how this equates to the manufacturer "making" anyone fight. You are free to purchase or not purchase. No one is forcing anyone to buy a color or a mod they don't want when there will be more mods available soon. If he were still producing 5-10 mods a week and hundreds were trying to buy, then I can see this being a problem, and this would need to be addressed. However, last nights sale had 119 mods....there are still 5 on there waiting to be purchased.
6. The end goal is to have mods on that site at all times....never to have an "OUT OF STOCK" button showing.
If you have an idea that could improve the process, you are welcome to PM either Rob or myself and let us know. In every business, there is always room for improvement and we are not above taking constructive criticism, especially when there are benefits to hearing another perspective. My inbox is always open to you.
In the meantime, I wish you well, and hope that you are able to get what you want in a more timely manner, regardless of where you buy it.

Fight for them? really? I havent seen that.

Supply and demand, man.Thats America. You make a good product.People clamer to get it. All you can do is try your best to keep up with the demand. Unfortunately the REO is to popular too do so.

Besides I think the whole process adds a little fun to it.

Can I get an AMEN?

Amen!

The GOOD suppliers so much of their time, thought, energy and soul into their businesses. They truly amaze me and give me a standard to strive for in my own business.

Some of the things I see these folks go through just to keep things running day to day would KILL a mere mortal, or company, but these folks are in the trenches doing their flat out best day in and day out.

Truly, amazing.

They're not not keeping them in stock just to be jerks- good things take time, and I get a feeling that if a batch of something isn't up to par they scrap them. Way to go on the quality control, and taking the time to make a quality product- I'll wait if I have to.

The other option is to get an off the shelf, made in China ecig- and um yeah, been there done that- there's a reason I went for a Reo.

Really, do you want to eat in the restaurant with no other cars in the parking lot, or the one where people are lined up for something tasty?

I got a raw Mini. Can't wait to see what it looks like.

The Raw (tumbled Mini) is absolutely gorgeous!!!!! I've terribly neglected my other Minis since Rob sent the tumbled. I haven't given it a really good appearance workout (dropping, shuffling it on concrete, closing it in the car door, doggies stealing and playing with it (three of the dogs have very powerful biting strength), tumble off car top, etc. ) but I'm sure reports will come in now that more are arriving at their homes.

Right now it's my favorite finish. And it blings up nicely with different atty/cartos and DTs.

DH has closed the car trunk on his black/siver Mini a couple of times. He says it finds it's way into the grove near the rubber tubing around the edges of trunk. And he just informed me, the other night, that he had dropped the black/silver several times, on concrete, getting in and out of the car. I thought he had never "abused" it because it is still so pristine.

Anyway, I don't know how anyone could be disappointed with the tumbled if that's what they chose to purchase. BTW.... I've never seen one fingerprint on tumbled even though I use it doing "dirty" work.

Well I really can't wait for my mini now. I bought a 510 bottom feeder in the classifieds last week. I forgot to hit the off switch today before I sat in down on the patio table. I was gardening for about an hour and came back to huge mess. It fell over on the switch and fired until the drip tip melted. The bottle melted and I don't know what kind of shape it is in. Does that automatically make it to where I have to trash the battery? It doesn't look bad but I haven't tried it in anything to see if it works. I'll have to see what I can salvage tonight and maybe perform a little mod surgery. It may have fired it's last atty though.

Oh dear. If your battery overdischarged, it might be a goner. I'd check it with a multimeter before and after charging, but really, you are better off safe than sorry.
