Refrigerate e-liquid or not?

So I just bought four 1oz (30ml) bottles of juice. I've heard from various vendors, that you can store this in the fridge to help it last longer. The highest I've heard is up to 8 months, other vendors claim no more than 3 to 4 months.

Is there any truth to this? Does keeping it in the fridge preserve it longer? And what happens if you keep it longer than that? Say a year? I've never really heard of e-liquid going bad, but I suppose anything is possible!

On a related note, how long do you guys feel compfortable letting bottles of juice sit on the shelf before considering them bad? Months? Years?

Till It tastes bad? LOL I have never had that issue yet b/c I go though my juice within weeks and have to buy more.

since i diy I buy nic juice bulk..so I do put it in the fridge..my mix however sits in the closet,but its usually just a months worth at a time.Ive had one bottle of nic juice for a year without any loss of color or taste.

I've only been vaping for 3 weeks but have about 25 bottles and counting at this point searching for that special flavor. I can see not getting back around to some of these for 6 months to a year

if you look most bottles (at least in my limited experience) have an expiration date. but everything i've seen indicates 2 years from the date it was made. (and that's without the fridge) so chances are very likely that it will be long gone before it's out of date...

I don't put my juices/mixes in the freezer, I keep all my "mixed" juice in a drawer in my desk, but I keep several hundred ml of unflavored 100 mg in the freezer, and that helps a LOT. it doesn't get dark, and it doesn't get that peppery smell, which I can't stand.

My unflavored stored in freezer over 2 years is still clear and good as new.
My unflavored stored at room temp developed a slight tint after a few months but still worked fine.
Some flavored stored fine at room temp for several months.

Sounds like the freezer is the way to go then.

MadVapes did a test, keeping samples in a variety of environments and showing how they changed over time.

The results were in their newsletter, but I haven't see it in some time. Maybe it's also somewhere on their website?

...only been vaping for 6weeks so I dunno BUT, I have read keeping in cool, dark place is best, a freezer is close or better for extended storage and fridge is less than ideal because at fridge temps, condensate can be induced, causing, the base/flav/nic to breakdown or separate...I dunno, imjusayin...............

I could never follow that fridge condensation liquid breakdown story.
Eliquid is sealed from atmospheric moisture plus some eliquids have H2O as an ingredient anyway.
