Regarding Clove flavor...

In your personal experience with the cartos and e-liquid, is the flavor true to that of clove cigarettes?
I bought a 5ml bottle of the e-liquid a little while back, and I think there must have been something wrong with the batch, because it had a pretty awful, "grass-mixed-with-medicine" flavor to it. Nothing like clove cigarettes at all. The other e-liquid I had, Camel, had a similarly bad, medicine taste to it. So, I'm pretty sure I just got a bad batch.
Still, I'm a little hesitant to try it again.

Anyone care to share their opinion of the Clove flavor?

I have tryed clove juice from 4 diff places and have not yet found one that is close, I smoked djarum blacks for 5 years

I'm sure some of the clove smokers around here will chip in, from previous threads I have heard them say they like it but they aren't like clove cigs.

I tried clove from a different supplier and it wasn't like clove cigarettes it was more like cloves you would find in the spice cupboard. I don't know if they are all like that though.

I used to smoke djarums religiously, but haven't smoked them in awhile.
IMHO the clove cartos taste pretty close to clove cigs to me but with a bit more sweetness.
Maybe the more recent smokers of them can chime in though as I could be off here. :]

I find they are a lot sweeter than clove cigs, not as harsh or complicated.
But as is the norm with vaping, taste is subjective and will change all the time.

anyone tried mixing the something like french pipe with clove? would that solve any of the problems? I might have to try it after my first shipment comes in, although I am a little nervous about refilling cartros.

i didnt really find it to be what i expected from it either......

but, after i have vaped it for a while, i now enjoy it for what it is..... and am no longer expecting it to be like a djarum....(and for some reason, the clove juice produces TONS of vapor for me.. was that the case for you as well?)

I purchased clove cartos and although they aren't like cloves you can still taste the clove spice that's in djarums. They are not 100% clove cigarettes though :/ still enjoyable.

I find the clove to be difficult like most menthols. (Most of them don't have the tobaccoish undertones that I expect.) You might try mixing. Of course that won't easily work with prefilled cartos!

they do taste a little different than my old love, Djarum Blacks. The clove cartos do taste more like the classic clove from your pantry, but a little spicier with the niccotine - I use the 36's. After using them for a few weeks I'm liking them better than my old cloves because they're sweeter and they have none of the bad juju in them. I feel better, I haven't smoked an analog in over a month, and I'm converting a coworker as I type this.

I tried the clove juice myself and no it doesn't taste like Djarum. IA w/what's been said before: It's all clove and no tobacco. I like it on it's own, but have actually thought about mixing to see if I could get closer to the actual taste of a kretek.

I soaked a handful of cloves in VG for three or four days, drained it through a coffee filter and added the juice / extract to some Ecopure Krstl.

It's actually quite nice. Same tingle as the clove cigs without the PG or Dekang base flavor.
