I was using my fuse in my K100 with my ST kick I noticed that the fire button was getting a little warm and after a couple more vapes the mod stopped working.
I thought that was odd because I was vaping at 8.0 w with a 2.0 ohm carto like I always do.
I was using an 18500 Efest batt.
I took it apart and checked the firing assembly and the plastic ring is there. I did notice that there is no silicone ring around the positive contact on the inside of the batt tube *shrugs*.

My question is...for 4.95 should I assume that the fuse is a one - time deal and I should chuck it?
If so, how can I tell the dang thing is tripped?
I have another one I have not used and have compared the two and can't readily see any differences.

There's got to be some user error somewhere, lol...

If your mod stopped working and you noticed the fire button became warm, chances are the fuse has tripped and has done its job. Being that the fuse you were using was a single shot fuse, it will need to be replaced.

The issue becomes: What caused the fuse to activate?

Do I understand that you were using both a Kick and a safe fuse simultaneously?

Yes..that is the question.. I have no idea.
I have stopped using it until I can figure out what the deal is - this is my first mech, so I am still learning the idiosyncracies of mechs.
Unfortunately I don't have another K100 to compare it to.
Would the fact that it does not have a silicone ring around the positive contact on the inside of the batt tube where the atty screws on top of make a difference?
My TVS has one *shrugs*
I wanted to get a k100 in a couple of more colours, one being the original cobalt blue colour.
I will get one of those and see if there are any differences between the two.

It can be checked with a DMM on the ohms setting. It should have a resistance of 0.0Ω... or at least no more resistance than that of the internal resistance in the meter. When one is "bad" it will have a very high resistance or infinite Ω... i.e. an open circuit.
