Not sure if this is the right place or not for this type of 'feedback'. I have another active thread on this here...

http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...ssion/173704-vendor-production-locations.html

I see that pretty much most registered suppliers that sell eliquid from here are a little bit on the 'mysterious' side.

Ive yet to see any custom ejuice supplier post any pictures of their production facilities here or on their respective websites. For all i know they could be whipping this stuff up in their kitchen, bedroom, bathtub, basement or attic. In my opinion, if you are to be selling product that is intended for human consumption it should be prepared in clean, safe conditions. A dirty garage would not be acceptable.

Im asking that this forum consider instituting a policy that all registered suppliers/vendors that produce THEIR OWN eJuice for sale post pictures of their production areas either here on the forum or on their own website. To go even further they should also be required to explain their santitation procedures. Another thing, i notice a few suppliers only list a PO Box...i would like it to be mandatory that all supplier/vendors supply a physical address as to where their production facility is located.

I love vaping and have discovered some great juices...but i want to be sure its coming from a clean and proper place. All it takes is one person to get sick from somewhere...

it is important to realize that ECF, first and foremost, is a discussion forum. We are a venue to discuss all things E cigarette related. We are not a regulatory agency of any kind, nor are we in partnership or have an interest in any supplier on the forum.

Because a supplier is registered with ECF does not imply any endorsement of said supplier. Also, we are not in any position to assess acceptable sterile conditions based upon a photograph. To try and do so would be irresponsible and open the forum up to liability that we would not be prepared to accept.

I guess if I was worried about a product someone was supplying me I would take it up with the supplier.... or more likely not buy from them. Can't see expecting the forum to turn into a regulatory agency... we already have too many of those anyway.... I for one come here for info and advice, not to be told what to do...

But since I spent about 45 years putting smoke, tar, etc. in my body I have trouble getting worked up at this point about something that I am doing now that just has to be better for me....

I think swedishfish has it right.... making your own seems like a good option. Then you just have to worry about where the PG came from, and the VG, and the nic, and the flavoring, and the ingredients in the flavoring....... :)

Not asking for a regulatory agency. Just a requirement on having to post pictures of their facility, i prefer making my own judgements anyway.

Most reputable places im sure would have no problem with this and im sure some would be more than proud to show off their clean laboratories. Those folks whipping up product in their home kitchens on their dirty countertops and selling it, probably not...and im sure they would not agree with what i request here as it would hurt their profits.

As for me making my own ejuice, not really interested (yet).

Riight. And a person could just go to any place and take a picture ... or photoshop it.

That is why i prefer to diy. At least I know the conditions that my juice was made in are acceptable to me :) But seriously I don't worry so much about the larger more reputable companies. I do wonder about a lot of the startups though. In the end it is just a matter of "Do I trust these people not to give me nasty contaminated juice made by unwashed poxladen juice sweatshop workers wearing wife beaters and dripping sweat into the juice jug?"

After what I have heard about some of the things that end up in cigarettes during the manufacturing process, a dirty counter doesn't bother me. LOL I was talking to a guy who had been inside one of the tobacco plants and he said he saw some men spit into one of the gigantic containers the tobacco was in. Who knows if it was true but he said he saw all kinds of nasty stuff going on.

I understand the point the OP is making. But I have to agree with what has been said. There is no way to be sure a picture is a picture of where the product is actually being made.

I'll chime in another for the diy. Once upon a time, it didnt matter how dirty the ciggies were. Nowadays I have to be careful because my RA meds are powerful stuff. Leaves me more suseptible.
Remember : just because they are nice, Doesn't mean they are clean. Or just because they clean up for a picture. Doesn't mean the place isn't filthy. There IS no way to tell. It's all a gamble.

LOL. Sorry, joegti, I didnt mean to be insulting. Just voting like it was a poll.

I remember back in the day when we left mayo on the counter all afternoon and still ate it the next day and survived, we dropped our cookies on the ground, picked em up, kissed them, held them to the sky then snarfed then down...survived. And today along those same lines, I vape DIY juice made on someones desk or wherever they did it and so far have survived.

Not a huge issue to me like it is to you, and was only saying I agree to the fact that it puts undue liability on a forum. I do however look forward to some sort of national standards council just not looking for ECF to do that.

Peace.

It's not ECF's place to play Cop when it comes to Supplier's. If you don't trust a Supplier then you just don't order from them, "Caveat emptor"

As from the top of the suppliers section

"These forums are run by Suppliers whose customer service standards we monitor carefully."

That said, you can make ejuice in your bathtub and still be 'endorsed' here as long as your customer service is good.

You were told the rules :rules: two days ago, why prolong this? Are you questioning ECF, future 'Moved On' candidate?!?!?!?

Your requests are outlandish. Let me give you a good example. I like to DIY my own juice and here is a "picture" of where I mix.

Now, is this really mine? Who is to say. Does it look clean? Maybe, do we know for sure? No, but boy does it give a good impression. (The bathtub is off camera on the right btw).
