Regular Meetings

Hey everyone I think it might be a good idea to start doing regular meetings. I'm thinking that doing this in person probably isn't the easiest way to get goo frequency so I'd like to recommend using a teleconference/web conference. Or we could do a group call via skype.

I think it will be important for us to have short meetings to discuss club business. Maybe twice a month or so.


What does everyone else think? I'd like to see this become an active club that does a lot of things.

Well you know I'm down. Hopefully it could allow more people to take an active roll in developing this thing too.

Hmm, logistics.... We do this at work often, and with free accounts each service puts their own limits on the number of people in a video chat. What service or methods do you suggest?

I think most only allow a few people at once. I'm going to do some research into a paid service. I think webex can do multiple people. I'll look around and if there is an inexpensive option that'll allow multiple video chats, I'll pull the trigger.

Ok. I forgot I had a free anymeeting account. It's free and has web conference. Only downside is the teleconference line is long distance. Does anyone have an issue with that? I know my cell phone doesn't charge for long distance in the US. Thoughts?

If that works, then we are good to go.

What does everyone think about frequency, etc.

LD is not a problem.

Frequency? I tend to think every two weeks just right now because we a trying to get something going.

We should pick a night of the week to stick with, say Monday's, and plan them around meets. Like the Monday before a meet to plan etc, then the Monday after to think about the next one.

Not saying I like Monday's or anything, just an idea.

Logistics suck.

I've got Monday evenings committed to another organization until after June. (Which is usually Thursdays, but we had to meet the Ike's schedule for trap range time.)
