We all hate regulation and taxes. I do my fair share of complaining and have and will continue to be more on the activist side of fighting them.

But, if cigarettes were not taxed and regulated so much how many of us would be vaping? I did start vaping because of health concerns. I can not say price and hassle also had a factor in my decision to switch

I did quit smoking when I got tired of the contstant tax hikes to be honest. I can't say for sure i would of started vaping if the cig taxes were low, at least not as soon as I did. My concern is they'll tax ecigs at the same sin tax rates as real smokes just to make up for the losses. They should have never got into the sin tax business. It's common sense that the thing they are pretending to stop, for our own sake, wil never be stopped because they're hooked on the money. This is certainly part of the reason they're trying to demonize ecigs, gotta tax those evil smokers AND VAPERS.

I'd still be vaping because i decided to stop cigarettes when i tired of the wheezing and morning coughing, rather than the cost of them ($6 a pack at the time) and the belief that after 30 years of it - it could well be my last chance to be rid of them and dodge a smoking-related bullet.

Which is also why i believe it would be ridiculous to tax something that is not a cigarette as if it were.

Price had nothing to do with me quitting smoking; it was part of a healthier lifestyle plan. Given how I like lots of flavors from premium vendors and after having discovered hardware by ProVape, vaping will never be less expensive than smoking for me. I stuffed my own with organic tobacco, so was spending under $2/pack. If cigarettes were free and e-nic doubled in price due to taxes and regulation, I'd still vape.
