Picked up a VMAX PCB and want to use an external button. The current SMD button has 4 legs. Does anyone know which legs go together (eg/ left-right paired or top/bottom paired)?
If the button lights up, 2 poles may be for the led and 2 poles for the actual button. I would use a multimeter and check the resistance of all combinations. You should find a pair that makes a circuit when the button is pushed, the remaining two should be the circuit for the led. Good luck.
I think there is a thread on breaktru forums on how to do this. Are you trying to use a different switch to do your firing? Or trying to remove the button and place it elsewhere? Will look for that thread for you.
Found it I think ZMax V2 in a Box I think there is a picture around post 36. Looks like you just wire to the two point on the surface mounted tactile with another switch.

I assume you want to use an remote fire botton.
use an ohm meter across the switch poles to find out which are the ones .
and I found out not all brand are the same !! changed my mind on a diferent tactile size one and wondered why I had problems !!
one used up and down pair ...and the other brand used the upper pair ..so mesure both switches ..the one on the board might be different then the replacement to .
