Remove the top wick or leave alone?

Leave it in for now, they might work perfect with all the wicks in. If you get dry hits, only remove one of the small flavor wicks. Remove the other if it is still dry, but I doubt this will be the case. The new type of head used in these is a more robust design than the T3 and they will probably work fine without any tinkering. Your 60/40 shouldn't be a problem either. I used 100% VG in an unaltered EVOD and it worked just fine. I've found that thinner juices (80 pg or more) are more likely to cause flooding and leaking.

I have never had a problem with the evod, protank, OR the t3s with the stock heads. I rebuild my own when the coil seems to have run its course and i build them pretty close to stock. This is with juices from 100% VG to 70% PG.

Busardo was using the vape Only so it's probably a whole other ball park with that tank.

I plan on rebuilding myself.

I rebuild my T3's and EVOD with cotton yarn and 32 awg nichrome. Seems to work pretty well since I can just pull the gunked wick out, rinse and dry burn the coil, then slide a new wick in. I've tried cleaning the tiny silica wicks that come stock and it seems they just fall apart or start falling out. It's also much tougher to slide a new one in since you can't compress silica like cotton.

Now, my reaction would to be use the stock heads until they are dead, then rebuild them. You're just itching to mess with them aren't you? ;)

Lol only when they are dead. I like to rebuild though. Kind of like my mom and her crocheting (spelling) blankets.

PBusardo references the Vape Only BCC in his Protank video, saying he removed flavor wick from both. I think he said he was vaping Boba's Bounty, which is rather viscous.

Keep in mind, the amount of flavor wick material varies quite a bit from one stock Protank head to another. I've seen some with three and one with only one. Quality control seems to be a foreign concept in China sometimes.

Thanks bro, its all a learning process. I got my protank yesterday and used my 60/40 and all was fine and and dandy. I'm sure if i ever do a 100vg I may have to take one or two out.
