Removing one of the loose wicks allows more juice to flow to the coil. This can be a good thing or a bad thing. It might cause gurgling and flooding. I usually don’t mess with the wicks during the first week with a new coil unless I’m getting burnt tasting hits. After that, I dryburn once a week and replace the loose wicks with one piece of 1.5mm silica wick. Dryburning the coil cleans the wick that goes through it pretty well.
