I just picked up a L-Rider Lambo 4.0 and so far I'm really enjoying it. It's stumped the eGo Twist for me. Everything is working well except, rather superficially, the branding is pretty horrid. Check it out....

That's not so bad, I can live with it for sure. BUT.....

COMIC SANS! AGGHH!

Anyway, I'm pretty sure it's not etched it, rather put on top as I can feel a slight lip when I run my nail over and so I was wondering if anyone had any tips for removing it. I figure maybe a razor blade but I wanted to check if anyone knew something better before I risk scratching my new toy.

It's not a deal breaker for me, but it would be nice to be rid of it. I mean, come on..... Comic Sans....???

Maybe try a little Acetone or Lacquer thinner? Neither should hurt the finish. Put some on a rag (not so much it runs off rag and into the button etc.) and lay it on the branding for a second or two then start wiping. If it's a paint of some sort it should come off w/ minimal elbow grease. If you don't have lacquer thinner or acetone in the garage, if you live with a woman you DEFINITELY have acetone inside the house! It's called Nail Polish remover!

Good luck!

If you check the girly/pretty/pink thread, there's all kinds of stuff about decorating your PV. So if you can't get it off, you can cover it up.

So it's not really the branding, but the FONT you don't like??? Seriously?

It's Comic Sans. This is a grownup pastime. It deserves a grownup font.

The problem with something that has be Laser Etched / Laser Marked is that just about Always, the product surface is Finished / Polished and then the Laser comes along and Removes the Surface Finish exposing the Bare Material underneath.

Since the OP’s PV has a Polished “Chrome” finish, I would stick with things that are safe to use on Chrome.
