I thought it may be enlightening to know what our fellow REOnauts do (or did) for work. Post if you like.....

jifjifjif is presently working in the engineering department at a large upscale hotel in Orlando.

Now you try.... :)

Another fellow engineer here. IUOE Local 399 Chicago here. Did my apprenticeship at the John Hancock Center and still working here 11 years as of August 13th this year. Here's a pic I took from the roof with my Reo...
ImageUploadedByTapatalk1340723325.753451.jpgThat's the Trump Tower and Willis(formerly Sears) Tower in the background. Any Reonauts coming to Chicago should hit me up, and I can take you out on the roof. Great view and great place to vape while watching the sunrise...

I'm a former Microsoft technical marketing manager who is much more relaxed running a coffee shop :)

I hear ya. I was the plant manager at a beverage manufacturing company and while i made lots more money, i also worked 16 hour days. Now, i put in my 8 hours and am home for dinner each night. I decided enough trying to climb the ladder and make a fortune. I am far happier now.

I posted in the other thread, but I'm a school psychologist w/ our local school system...
I have 8 weeks off in the summer!! Yeah!!! That's enough time to enjoy the boat for awhile, have surgery and go to the beach with my family!!! When the work year begins, it's flying- tons of work that keeps me busy many nights and even weekends.

If I told all I'd have to snuff ya.:D

Trained physicist and R.N but did neither for pay per se. Trained with Microsoft for outsourced computer tech phone support as the industry was in its infancy as the world was waiting for Win95 to come out and then owned and was only tech for franchise computer support "on wheels." Now full time maintenance and support for our "ranch" and DH's private computer support, secretary, bookkeeper, tax "authority," researcher, transportation, cook and bottle washer, house cleaner, lawn crew, pool and spa maintenance and fixer, post hole digger, fence fixer, dog pack "husband" and Momma, window washer, gutter fixer, painter and decorator... if it needs done I usually do it. In charge of all techie stuff about house and outside and there's lots. (You are being watched.) Wild bird caretaker. Last but not least wild critter wrangler/controller. DH is a physician who still works full time, age 77, because he insist on staying in this big old white elephant, crumbling, energy devouring house that keeps me way too busy.

Way too many interests to list. Life is never dull. Bored is a foreign concept to me although I do enjoy being lazy and enjoying our jungle and most of the critters. I'm a birder.

I am a retired calibration tech. from a So. Cal.(Inland Empire) Aerospace company and was responsible for the calib. lab. Worked, and retired from the same company after 35 years. The first 17 years of the stint I was a machinist. Life is much easier now, I don't have to deal with auditors anymore. :D

My work isn't easy to explain. Part time IT guy - part time microwave communications guy - part time rancher - part time pilot - part time gold miner - part time truck driver - part time outfitter.... It isn't like I'll do *anything* for a buck, but I sure end up doing a lot of different stuff while perusing a living and in pursuit of happiness.

Della Cirque is an injured Chef. Waiting on back surgery and supposed to be thinking of a second career choice that requires less time on my feet. Instead I pray the surgeon fixes me up better than he thinks he can. I love my work and can't imagine doing anything else.

Jen, i'm very curious about your chef career..is there such a thing as certain kinds of chefs and if so, what kind are you?
