Robert was kind enough to put an order through for me to get a black/black reo grand. I am so excited about getting it. I have also been looking into the empiremods drip shield. I use lr boge cartos and will use them up on the grand as I have a ton (currently using tanks). I was wondering if anyone has used the shield on their grands and how well they work. I know I would have to get a 901-510 and 510-901 adapter for them to work. Will the juice get to the carto and will the shield fit well on it? Will it also work well with 510 and 306 attys? I love how they look and I think it would make the grand look much nicer with it on.

Well if your using Boge cartos the drip shield will fit on without an adapter (long enough)if you just like the looks.
They really serve no purpose on a carto anyway other than looking cool. You need SS cartos or peel the wrapper off good because its too tight of fit over the wrapper.

I've used them over a Boge carto in brass color with my brass catch cup on the woodvil it looks cool.

With a 510 you do need the adapter which makes a shorting the mod more probable. You really don't need the shield with the nice catch cup anyway but it works. They do tighten the draw IMO unless you drill the holes in the shield bigger.

With a 306 you need the adapter and a certain type of drip tip for them to work. They slide right over the DT and have to fit right. Not sure which ones but I think they say on the Empire site.

So yes they work for attys with the short adapter.
Yes they fit on cartos with or without and adapter. The Boge are the perfect length with out so all you see is DS and DT :)
But juice never comes out of a carto at the bottom so like I said its just window dressing with cartos.

Hope that helps.

I can't wait to try it out! I've read nothing but great things about the reos. I feel like a kid waiting anxiously to open his xmas gift.

You're gonna find it is the best money you ever spent for vaping! Hook it up with a great atty or cartomizer, your favorite juice, and your vape is going to blow you away! :D

Welcome to Reovil new Reonaut! Don't forget to post pics when you get it!

Yeah i do. I find it easier to sqounk and there's never juice in the catch cup with a drip shield on. More flavor as well IMO. For me 1.7 LR 901's are the sweet spot. There's a certain amount of trial and error involved to find what works best for you. I have yet to try a 306 so i can't comment there. Lots of folks love those though.

I feel like this might become a *problem* for me. I haven't even received my first reo and I am already looking at a mini to add to the collection lol. Could use something more portable for errands and such. So many choices and combinations.

The Mini is a great pick-up and go REO. They hit a lot bigger than they look! I have a LR306 on mine now and it is blowing me away with vapor. The 18490 coming out soon will give you a bigger battery. From the 600mAh to the 1100mAh. Something to consider!

BTW a Black/Black REO Grand and boge cartos is the absolute best vaping experience in REOville IMO.

Especially 3Ω at 6v if you like "Big Hits" :D

That's a great picture - the grooves on the printer behind them makes it look like a police lineup.

I didn't want to post another thread with this question, so I'll just ask it here. I have a TrustFire Multifunctional Charger and I was wondering if it is safe to charge the aw imr 14500 and 18650 batteries on it? I want to make sure I have the right charger. Don't need to be blowing myself up. =)

And nice collection big hitter!

I have the older version of that charger and it works fine. :)
