Will any 6ml bottle I get from a vendor work on the rio grand? They are out of stock but I want to order a few when I get the mod. I've PM'd Robert about getting the Grand. Thanks mlinky!

I am able to use the 6ml bottles in my woodvil I got from my recent honeyville order.

For $9.95, you can get 12 of the 6 mL bottles shipped from here.

For $16.55 you can get 25 bottles.

If you're using an atty on the Grand, you can drip 3 or 4 drops in the reservoir for a change in flavors. Of course, you're mixing the the previous flavor with the new one inside the atty, but sometimes that works out pretty good.

I don't know what all of the vendors have, but I know some are kind of short and squat and do not work. The ones listed by Mudflap work. Robert probably has them available, but not showing on the site. He has to manually update the inventory. You might want to ask about those.

I've found a quicker way than replacing the dripper tip (needed to seal properly)

I just keep an extra O-ring in a few tops (no hole) ..... then I just use those tops for storage and transport.
One less messy thing to deal with when switching bottles.

Its the same size O-ring in the REO ..... to lazy to look up but I have about 50 of them.
So I have 12 or so tops all o-ringed up and ready to use.

I remove the dripper tip using the cap. Loosen the cap till it is ready to come off, bend the cap over the dripper tip and it will pop right off and stay in the cap making almost no mess at all. To reinstall dripper tip, place cap with tip inside and screw back on to the bottle. I never have to touch the dripper tip. I give them a quick wipe while at home refilling my reo bottles.

Genius! I love it. I will give this a shot next time I switch bottles out. :)

That extra mah has to come from somewhere, and in 18650's, that means they're a shade taller. Taller batteries will compress the spring too much to make it a reliable safety (the spring collapses in case of a short to make the battery drop away from the firing pin, preventing further damage to the unit). Plus, the AW IMR's are recommended because of the way they drain, and they're chemically safe so no in-battery circuitry to fail on you either. The 1600's last a good 12+ hours of normal use, the extra hours aren't worth it (in my opinion) to lose the safety features of using the recommended battery.

Now, the extra voltage you get with 4.8v's... that's worth losing the chemical safety and drain rate in my book - DRASTICALLY shorter life (only 600mah), but it still maintains the spring safety.

I agree I'm a huge fan of grand on 5v and currently the only way I go!

I did this last month when making my DIY. It was a total surprise that it would work. I was not sure the top would be on tight when screwing the cap on. But all I checked were on fine. Sure is a nice way to end the problem of juice all over.
