Just thought I'd share. Hubby modified my Grand for me last night so I can attach lanyards. I have been wearing it in a quilted lanyard pouch but wanted something more permanent. Love it!

Congrats, it looks like it should work great.

Everything I've ever owned that had a lanyard I promptly removed the lanyard.
I hate straps and things in my way.
I don't even have a strap on my big Nikon DSLR camera :)

But if your happy thats what counts. Looks like just a cotter key in there, what a simple idea.

I like to have my "peace pipe" handy whenever I am awake. However, I got tired of looking for it every few minutes back when I was still using a Joye 510. My love of lanyards was born when I made my first one. Almost didn't mod the Grand due to resale value but after giving it some thought I realized I don't really care. I bought it to USE and have no plan to sell it....ever. This makes it easier for me to use and that is what I wanted. I ride lots of things (bicycle, scooter, motorcycle, 4-wheelers, and the occasional horse) and don't want it lost or out of reach :) .

Dordas: Just have someone with a drill press drill a 5/32 hole in the side of the mini where the bottle tube is. Then put a 1/16" cotter pin through the hole...perfect fit. I cut the legs off the cotter pin before I installed it so it wouldn't be too long. I didn't want the marring that the legs would make if they were fully open. Then you have to bend open the legs a little bit to keep it in the hole. You don't have to have them fully opened...just enough to keep it in. Then you can put on a ring to attach a larger hooked lanyard, small hook lanyards will fit ok as is, or you can do like I did. I am sure there are other great ideas also.

If you decide to mod yours also...post a pic. I'd love to see yours.

I see bruises in your future. :)

LOL! Why should my future be any different from my past? At least I'll have something to vape close at hand while I recover. Truthfully, I am a little concerned with knocking a grandkid in the head with it. But I've been wearing my little chuck for a year and this grand for months on lanyards without incident so I think they (and I) will survive.

Maybe I should get a Reo mini just to even out my odds though... hm-m-m-m-m.

Looks great. I'd like to put something like that on my Mini. I've already lost a mini-roughstack when I dropped it in a field of standing hay. In some situations, a lanyard is a real vape-saver, especially for the coordination-challenged (like me).

This is exactly why I carry my mini-roughstack to the woods.

I can't wear anything around my neck that has any weight to it at all. Years ago we had upper arm-band carriers for our walky-talky radios. I'm thinking something like that might come in handy for mods. I usually wear aprons, working outside, but not all of them have pockets.
