Reo Grand O ring help

I was changing the bottle in my Reo Grand when the black O ring inside of the cap part popped out....!!!


I can't get it back in. Has anyone else had this happen? And if so, how do I get it back in?

just press it back in with your pinkie or a Q-tip, after that threading the bottle on should seat it properly, if you have the pickup tube still inserted in the cap it might take 2 Q-tips to help work it down.

doesn't have to go in perfect, when you screw the top back on, it will go in place

It keeps popping into the bottle >.<

Put the o-ring into the cap as far as you can without warping the O.

Gently and slowly screw it on the bottle...an even screw will have the o-ring in it's place.

I had this happen many times on 1 of my mini's.

I think it is stretched out.

Should the O ring be able to fit around the mouth of the bottle?

No, it fits inside the cap.

I screwed it back in w/o the ring, it doesn't appear to be leaking.

So would you use a tip from a regular bottle, instead of a cap? That's what I THINK I see.

Sorry to keep bothering you, but I just want to clarify: It keeps it from leaking and removes the need to do all that screwing.

Does it work well? I suppose it would have to, since you are using it. lol

The only difference is that I have a Mini.

But I'm sure it'll work for the Grand (should be the same feeding system).

The tubing (purchased from PetsMart...$3) fits snug on the brass tubing (no leaks).

I think I'll have to give this a shot. It looks rather interesting and possibly safer for me to swap out bottles.

My swap times and fill times are much faster now...lol!
