Okay, so I just picked up my first Reo in the classifieds and after some basic newbie problems (and a DOA atty) I've got it working brilliantly. I *love* it.

Except the button keeps sticking. It's one of the newer models that doesn't have the recessed button and it's sticking probably every two or three hits and I keep having to turn it off and fiddle with it to get it to release. Am I being an idiot and missing something here or is this just thing?

Can I fix this?

I'm thinking some electrical contact cleaner maybe, but please wait until someone more knowledgable than me confirms :)

Oh and congrats on your purchase. Is this your first REO?

i don't have a VV (yet) , but i just discovered (much to my chagrin) that the Grand, which i also got off the classies, has a button locking feature. Doh! twisting it locks/unlocks it. before discovering that, i thought it was sticking, and just fiddled until it magically cured itself.

i don't mean to insult your intelligence by implying that it might be as low as mine :)

Since you got it off classifieds, I'm thinking it probably has some juice or something down in the button that's making it stick. I actually don't really know how you'd clean it, though....you can't just run it under water like you could with a Grand. Maybe a q-tip and some alcohol....gently swab all around it.....I don't know. If you PM redeyedancer (the mod master)....I'm sure he would know what to do.

You can clean it with a q tip and alcohol . Keep wetting the button around the seem were the black meets the chrome and repeatedly push the button . If this doesn't work for you .
send the mod to me I will repair it and send it back asap. Please put
a note with your email address and a brief description of the problem .Also
empty any e juice in the mod .

Thank you so much everyone, especially you Rob! Did the alcohol and a q-tip and it worked like a charm! Lovely!

Also, totally loving the mod (seriously, drained two sets of batteries today). Major step up from my MVP and I've already got my eye on one of the mechanical Grands. Hah. Lovely. Thank you everyone!
