Reo Mini leaking

Hello, I just rebuilt my reo mini with a new rebuild kit, now it seems to leak around the pin...The original pin had a bigger diameter then the one in the kit i'm assuming the new o ring gasket goes inside the original plastic liner?? Otherwise it would leak more...Is this a common problem after a rebuild. The flat brass piece broke is the reason i rebuilt it. Its a minor leak but nevertheless its a leak i didn't have before.

Anyone have any idea what's wrong?

It sounds to me like the nipple (threaded onto the part of the 510 "pin" that extends down inside the top of the REO) may be loose. You might try taking off the delrin cover again and snug that up. 2 cautions here: 1) Not too much pressure on the nipple itself, it can crack, and 2) extreme caution putting the delrin cover back on. The instant it seems at ALL snug, stop tightening the screw. It threads into the aluminum (very soft) and can easily be stripped (don't ask how I know this). The urge is to give it just a slight nudge past initial resistance, DON'T DO IT.

Note: to tighten the nipple, you need to make sure the top of the pin (down inside the 510 connector, looking down on it from outside) doesn't move, you'll need to hold it with a flatblade screwdriver, while you tighten the nipple with, say, needle nose pliers.

Apparently the reo mini I have you do not rebuild it, thats why it leaks because we broke the end of the firing pin. Robs taking care of it.

Back ups are a great thing to have and another "new" reo mini (new re released 14500 mini now low profile (lp) and gold contacts and new ss 510 would be sweet, easily serviceable (if needed by yourself) and build like a tank!

yeah he is quick and helpful...i don't need to send the mod to him i can fix it at home just need a new firing pin.
