So got some new juice and 2 new LR 510 attys this morning since in my opinion 510s give a better flavour but so far ive only used LR306 attys.

Screwed in the first atty, primed it and fired and smoke came out and the spring was collapsed. Well ive read about it so wasnt to surprised and took a spring from a boxmod ive made and soldered the springpart to the plate in the reo and screwed in brand new atty nr 2.

This worked for about 4 or 5 hours until just recently when it (since I was affraid of overtightening the atty seeing as what happened just before) felt like it was coming loose so I tightened it a bit more so it wouldnt wiggle about and fired the atty and boom spring number 2 went out.

This was 2 separate attys and the second one only collapsed the spring when I tightened it a little more but no where near the ammount I screw my 306 on which ive never had a problem with to date.
Is it me thats unlucky or are these attys no good? Dont know the brand since it just said LR510 on a UK site which I ordered from and I cant find any labeling on them.

I read about the bottom part sticking out to much but I compared them and the difference is not even a millimeter so I would find it odd if that was the case but I guess there has to be a limit where it doesnt work anymore.

Is it bad attys or doesnt the mini like 510 attys?

PM Rob and link him to this thread. I believe he had some mods go out with center pins and insulator rings that were causing problems. I also recall reading that he has since corrected the issue and is repairing all mods effected.

I know it's a long way from Sweden to Maine, but from what you described, Rob is probably going to need to fix your Mini.

I think you should PM Rob (redeyedancer). It is possibly a bad batch of atomizers, but it "could" be the Mini. Whatever it is, Rob will be the best one to tell you. :(
