Reo Mod newb question

So I just received my new Reo Grand today. I was putting it together and became confused by the atomizer. This is probably the simplest question ever asked here but I need to know. There is a piece of cotton or something similar to it in my atomizers. Am I supposed to take that out? Or does that need to stay in there? Please help!

Did you get cartomizers by chance? There is only a wick in atomizers and they would be very hard to spot by visual inspection. I wouldn't remove them I think you are looking at the filling in a cartomizer which is needed to store and feed the e-juice to the heating coil.

Edit: It would be really helpful to know exactly which atomizer you are talking about, perhaps a link to the product on the site that you bought it from.

Welcome to ECF, reidh, and congratulations on your Reo. Admittedly, it's been a long time since I bought attys, but I don't ever remember there being any cotton like substance in one. Are you sure you are not looking at a cartomizer? I don't mean to be insulting, but I'm confused.

yes, it sounds like you are dealing with a cartomizer rather than an atomizer. a picture would help to id this. if its a carto then the batting needs to stay to absorb your juice.
