Take the o-ring out if it won't fire. It's only to help you get the airhole in the position you need it to be. OR....screw it down a little bit harder (careful...don't crank it!). I vape most of the time without the gasket (o-ring)....but you want the airhole pointing away from you when you vape, so it's just to help adjust it.

EDIT: On a couple of my REOs with RM2s....I have adjusted the way I hold the REO (which finger I fire it with) to make the airhole point away from me. That's the important thing....the airhole.

Also, make sure that the o-ring is actually around the connection....not accidentally getting squeezed between the RM2 and the connection. Put the o-ring in first, position it around the gasket, then screw the atty in. You probably did it that way, but a couple of times when I take the RM2 off, it sticks to the bottom of the RM2 (with juice) and I've just screwed it back on. There's a chance of it getting a little off-center that way. You probably did it right......just trying to think this through.

Thankss JC Okie, my next question was going to be do I need it? I mean my hole and coil line up in the suggested method. Now a quick question, promise I have to sleep tonight. When I had the atty on, I had a gurgle noise. This was helpful because I kind of knew when the juice was low and I could hear when I sucked on it that it was getting wet. Now, I don't really hear a noise when I suck it up, so do I just go buy taste to determine when to sqounk? One more, promise please. I need to order more RMAs, I don't have to be here to pick those up or go to the post office; do I?

The gurgle.....you won't have it with the RM2....but you won't need it. You'll get used to it very quickly. The first little while, maybe count how many vapes you get between squonks.....and go by taste/vapor. I usually get 3-4 good vapes between squonks. I promise you it'll become second nature before you know it. And no.....additional RM2s and other things from the site come signature NOT required in a padded envelope.

Sounds like you're home free. The RM2 is really nearly impossible to flood because the extra juice will drain back into the bottle, so when in doubt, squonk....especially with cotton (cheesecloth) wicks.

Same here. So I'm in training as a switch hitter. My thumbs only work well with the side buttons without some pain so I'm practicing using index finger in "wrong position" with top buttons. I find the only time cap hole is an issue is for a few tokes after sqounking. But each RM2 lines up the hole differently on various REOs. And soon after it is just right, after a few tokes, it's time to squonk again. Still, it's much easier for me to adjust REO position than to keep replacing the adjustment o-rings. Virtually every time I take an RM2 off of REO I forget the o-ring is down there so it is a gonner. They are perpetual jumpers.

Another thing that I've tried, and is working well (day 3), is forgetting the o-ring under the RM2, and using some teflon tape around the threads (make sure you don't cover the whole threads, just the top half so you still get a good ground), and then screw it down. Snugs nicely, and no leaking.

After I have it all together, I roll the o-ring down over the RM2 to the top of the drip cup to hide the brass (little cosmetic trick someone mentioned in another thread). I use another o-ring between the top and bottom of the RM2 (a la super_x_) to get proper air hole alignment.

Glad you're enjoying your new REO!!!!!

If you need to you can back off on the screw 1/4 turn counter clockwise . When I say screw I mean the center post on the bottom of the atomizer . I started sending 1.5 mm gaskets with the atomizer were I use to send 1 mm in thickness . This may have been a mistake on my end . I may try 1.2 mm its hard to get these things perfect peoples mods will vary as far as the center post are concerned
