just thought i would share,

I got myself the A7 Repairable atomizer, ended up with a Hot-spring after a full day of fiddling.
Took apart my woodvil to find the source (the rba worked fine on other mods), to find that the gasket was semi crushed, enough to cause a short.

Dont know if its the fault of the atty or just the age of the Reo Woodvil. i say 50/50.

But now i have an excuse to strip the mod to refinish it. Not gona bother the REO guys, as i like to do this. :)

I believe Budz Worx resolved this issue in the Era 1.5. They also make top feed and bottom feed of the Era and Hornet.

I recently picked up a bottom fed 1.5 Hornet from Indy Vapor Shop as I'm local and should receive my "new to me" Woodvill later this day. I will update then but the 1.5 post has been shortened/redesigned and should work perfectly......real nice rba IMO....been dripping with it the past couple days awaiting my Reo.

The Indy Vapor Shop site says that the 1.5 has been specifically redesigned with Reo users in mind.

The reason I went with the Hornet is because I wasn't sure the the ERA being a couple mm bigger circumference wise would fit down inside the catch cup of the Woodvil. I read in another thread where the ERA wouldn't fit a Woodvil but was specifically designed for the Grand if I'm not mistaken thus my Hornet purchase. I think it's 15mm circumference for the ERA vs. 13mm for the Hornet.

I'm guessing there's no advantage of the ERA or hornet over the reomizer if you're using a Grand, right? It's just the size that's different?

That is my understanding from reading a bunch of threads and posts about the subject. I think the Woodvil catch cup requires the use of the smaller diameter Hornet though.....this combo on the Woodvil seems to fit perfectly is my experience.

Woodvil catch cups are like women, no two are the same and no matter which one you have it doesn't seem to fulfill your exact needs. Although I can use any of my ERA's on my Koa the fit between the top cap and the catch cup is so tight that I have to screw the base on first and then wiggle the top cap over it until it finally makes it over the o-rings.

When removing it the cap must be wiggled free, popped off and then the base unscrewed. Kind of a pain but so far I haven't caught any of my ERA's using my phone to call a divorce lawyer so I've decided to keep them... but I'm keeping a careful eye on 'em.

So are the ERA posts any stronger than the reomizer posts. I broke my reomizer post off after a few weeks of owning my first rebuildable. I never really got it to perform worth a crap. I'm still interested though. I really want that "blown away" experience ya'll are getting. I love my cisco lr306's so that's what I went back to. I didn't like having to align my coil setup with where the threading would settle once tightened to align air hole w/coil. ERA looks like I can just spin it to my desired air hole position regardless of which side of the posts I place my coil into, true? If your curious I was using Rob's 28g wire and silica doubled over w/about 7-8 wraps to meter out at 1.5-1.4 ohms.
Felt like it took to long for the wire to heat up and really changed my vaping technique, and still tasted like cold poo compared to my cisco.

The posts on the Hornet and ERA are identical, the offset presents no problem as far as rebuilding. The Hornet has a slightly smaller base which leaves just a bit less room for coil and wick but again, not enough to present any problem.

Both work equally well but if you go with the Hornet you'll be able to use it on a Mini or 14890 should you ever get one. I believe the Hornets are available at 310 Vapes... ERA's may also be available.
