With the FDA looming over us, I have a gut feeling that it won't be good. I'd like to have this thread for exchanging information about e-cig repairs, modifications, links to available parts, etc. A few others are helping me with a few research items, and it's only right for me to share the information. Maybe we can prolong our agony by helping each other out in hard times.

I'm in DFW but would be interested in helping out. A buddy and I have put together some mods, nothing very technical but am interested in helping out in anyway I can. PM if you see anyway I could help.

Due to my travel schedule, my research is going very slow, but if you want to PM me with your e-mail addy, I'll send you everything I have so far. I think information exchange will be critical if we're banned.

the best luck i have had making my own coils (for the pyrex encased and for the few i have done as repairs) is to use a thin needle or straight pin to coil the nichrome around. straighten out the original coil to get the appx length, then cut a new length and coil it. after that, all i did was solder on heavier leads and thread a piece of the kevlar through the coil.

i wish i had taken pics of the construction and such, but at the time it was more of a hobby than a business, and now it is more r&d, so i seldom remember to photo anything as i go along.
