Hey guys,

I've been vaping for around 2 years now, and I mainly use an Itaste VTR mod with a kanger aerotank. Anyway, it seems that the coil floods at least once per day. This issue has occurred with multiple coils as well. To clarify, by "flooding" I mean that excess juice is taken up into the coil/wicks, and when inhaling on the tank, it makes a "crackling" and "fluid-sucking" noise, vapor production is heavily reduced as well.

It's an easy fix, I just take out the coil, blow on it to remove the excess juice, put it back in, and resume vaping. Anyway, am I using the tank wrong/doing something to cause the persistent flooding? Has anyone else experienced this with the aerotank or any other Kanger product? Someone may have told me once that this can happen if you continue to inhale briefly after you stop pressing the button on the mod. Maybe that is my problem.

Any advice is welcomed!!!

Several things you can try.

1. Open up the airflow so when you take a hit you are not pulling in as much juice into your coils (or don't draw as hard).
2. Raise your voltage or wattage if your battery allows you to do this. This will vaporize more eliquid.
3. Tip your battery up (and take a few hits). By tipping it up you will prevent more eliquid from being fed into the coils.

Give one or all of these a try.:)

+1 to open up the airflow valve and lighter draw to reduce suction of unwicked juice into the coil chamber. Think soda not milkshake.

Are you still using store bought replacement coils or rebuilding your old ones?

That kind of flooding is consistent with the new coils fresh out of the blister packs, and a virtually unstoppable issue when you're in the habit of removing the 2 additional flavor wicks that lay on top.

This issue goes away once you get into rebuilding the Kanger style coil and using cotton as a silica substitute. In addition, the advisement to always keep your tank more than 1/3 full is no longer an issue as well.

Cheers.
