Those look like Kanger coils, but I don't know if Kanger would fit and they would probably still gunk up.

I haven't had much luck with coils for that type of tank (I have Aspire ET-S). With the Nautilus Mini, when a coil gets clogged I just drop it in a shot of vodka over night, jiggling it occasionally. Take it out, blow the excess off and let it air dry for a day. They become un gunked, almost like new in most cases. I've used the same coils for two months. You could try this (vodka or rubbing alcohol, or even water) with an old coil and see if it cuts the gunk off.

Kanger Aero or the Aspire Nautilus are both upgrades from what you are using. I have 4 Aspire Nautilus Mini's, so I am a little prejudiced towards them.

Good luck.

OK.

ROK Legend "EGO" battery seems to use both 510 and eGo threading. This is good news.

You can have a look here at possibles... you will need to look at the smaller/cheaper end of the clearomiser selection.

Clearomizers

However, what you are experiencing is kind of expected really....

There is an issue with bog standard clearomisers, which you would do well to take note of. The replacement coils for many systems are not long lasting.
If you order Kanger Evod or Protank clearo's you will find yourself in the same boat as the ROK system.

OK, so ROK charge £9.99 for 5, whereas Myepack (and others) will sell you them for £6.00, BUT they don't last very long.

I would suggest you should try a few with your battery to see how you go....

Innokin iClear16s last longer. They are a basic plastic tank, not wonderful but work out much better value.
Aspire BVC K1s are good, they last for weeks, not days, but some people find they need a more powerful battery.
Aspire ET-S fitted with BVC coils can be good also.

You can't use the best tanks on sale with a basic ROK eGo battery, so if you stick with vaping, it's worth looking into a better battery.

You can't really fit "better" replacement coils to your ROK tank, such a thing doesn't exist.

Lastly, avoid ROK in the future. Not exactly king of the rip-offs, but a nasty overpriced brand. The kits are competitively prices (aren't they all these days?) but the rest of it is too expensive and low quality.

If you are set on vaping, consider a variable power battery and then you can use all the best tanks. :)

You have given me a lot of very good information thank you very much :) I wont be returning to ROK anytime as I spent just over £70 with them and not felt its money well spent. What battery and tank would you recommend for a similar price bracket?

I can't speak without sounding hypocritical. I spent £800 on E-Lites and Jac-bleeping-Vapour, back in 2012. I went from smoking 15 a day to about 10.

The most important thing to do is NOT shop at "brand" stores... VIP, Vapouriz, JacVapour, Apollo, ROK, Volcano, Totally Wicked, Kik, Cirro, Mirage - all cheap and nasty over-hyped products that are up to 3x as expensive as they should be.

Look at Myepack (the cheapest, discounting ebay)
Vape Escape (the best)
Cloud 9 (the poshest!)

LT e-cigs for liquids. Onepoundeliquid (LiQuid) for £1 e-liquid.
Chef's Vapour for nice liquids. Vape Escape for Halo and eVo liquids.

If I was buying tomorrow, I'd buy an eleaf iStick and a nice tank. If a "box" ecig seems a bit unnecessary, I'd get

iTaste VV4M 1000 Mah express Kit - Batteries & Chargers

Welcome Puddycat!

You can actually do a bit of maintenance to prolong the life of those coils, instead of throwing them out.

If you google "Dryburn EVOD coil" or something of that nature, you can find some information, but I'll describe here:

Disassemble the empty tank. Remove the head from the base. Remove the silicone grommet that sits atop the chimney. With a relatively firm grip, wiggle the chimney (tall skinny part) away from the bottom part of the coil. Recommend that you wiggle in the direction of the wicks, as there should be a channel to help with leverage. Once the chimney has been removed, you will likely see two thin strands atop the coil itself. Carefully remove those and set aside, as you'll need to replace them momentarily.

You should be able to look at the coil itself, and likely it will look quite "cruddy". Put the coil base back onto the base of your tank. Then, put the tank base back on your battery. Slowly pulse your battery, a couple of seconds at a time. You'll get smoking and spattering. This is allowing the coil "gunk" to get burnt off without feeding more juice to it. As you proceed, you'll start to see the wick (running through the center of the coil) get a little whiter. You'll eventually see the coil glow red. I constantly blow across it while I'm burning off the gunk.

When you get a clean, red glow (by this point, maybe hold your fire button 3-4 seconds at a time), you've cleaned away a lot of the residue. Let the coil cool and then remove it from the base. Take those two loose strands and carefully lay them back atop the coil. Get them as centered as possible. Then, press the chimney back onto the coil base and put the grommet back over the top of the chimney. You might throw it into a shot of unflavored vodka, but technically not necessary.

You should then be able to reuse the coil. Over time, you will eventually burn out the coil, but I resurrected a lot of them before I learned to rebuild the heads myself. I haven't had to buy a coil since May 2014, unless one came with a tank.

HTH! Cheers
