So I finally bought a nice new mod to replace the generic mechanical mod I started with.
All happy and excited I used my new mod, beautiful infinite copper stingray for 10 days.
Then the lock ring at the bottom got stuck. After trying to release it with oil and using a cloth for a grip I resorted to using a pair of pliers. Bad call. The sensitive copper tube completely lost it's shape and the batter would not fit in, the bottom button part would not fit in and basically, the mod is completely unusable.
As I cant afford another 50$ mod (wife would kill me...) I was wondering if anyone knows of a place where I can buy replacement parts for the Stingray copper clone. Mainly, the bottom tube - the one that connects to the push button.
Also - as a side note - I don't think I ever encountered a mod that did not have a lock ring problem from time to time. Is it me or is this something I am gonna have to live with as all mods are prone to develop that problem from time to time?
