I apologize if this has already been covered, I did search but didn't find anything. I was wondering if anyone had succesfully replaced the wick in their atomizer. I have an eGo, so I'm using a 510 atty and burned my wick (didn't know the button was pressed in my pocket) I have some spares but waste not want not. I just wanted to know if someone had a fairly practical method for replacing a burnt wick. It seems at the very least to be incredibly tedious and at the most impossible. I'm a firm believer in nothing is impossible so I wanted to know if anyone had succesfully replaced a wick and if so with what material and what tools/method they had done it with.

I figured as much. I knew I could use it for dripping, but had a rather vain hope that someone had found a replacement filler and managed to find a dental tool or something to easily fish a new wick in to place. Maybe I'll just keep toying with it and see if I can figure something out. I work on printers with tiny gears all day so maybe I can figure a way out to replace it. I do a decent amount of driving so dripping isn't a good option for me.

I had the wick actually come out of not one, but two new atomizers from cignot and Terri replaced them the same day, (talk about AWESOME service!)My first set of atty's already died, prolly from being gunked up by atomic cinnacide and butter rum fron Geoff,(hey thats a good thing! lol). I actually got one of them going again using the method sjohnson mentioned. Foranyway, onto my point, the new atomizers I got from Terri looked perfect, I actually examined them under a magnifying glass before use. My problem with them is they tasted TERRIBLE no matter what I did. Cleaning them, pre-priming them w vodka, doing voodoo doctor dances around them dressed like a goat, nothing worked. No matter what flavor I used, a terrible, nasty burnt taste came rushing back one or two hits after topping off a cart,( I use Fluvall). Tinkering yesterday out of frustration i tried the LTB cart mod,(straw and teabag), PRESTO!!!!! no more burnt taste and the flavor came gushing thru! I don't know what the difference is, but I'm not going to speculate and jinx it! lol. At least I also have a complete unopened backup 510 starter set as an "emergency backup" up in my cabinet with my supplies now too!! Ive been analog free for what, 62 days now and have had two batteries from electronic cig inc fail on me,(manuals rock, who knew?!?!?) lol along with one of their atomizers. After they replaced the batteries with manuals i gave up on them and Terri is my only 510 dealer now. Neway, my point, I still can't figure out why these atomizers taste terrible with Fluvall and awesome with bags...I guess I'll go buy Krogers entire stock of teabags now!
