Replies and views count?

I see a lot of newer threads where the number of replies and views is practically the same. Have we stopped updating the views? And if so, why do we need both numbers?

I liked to see how many people visited my favorite threads, though. Is that feature gone for good?

I have seen some threads that had more replies than views... not sure how that is possible.

It's the same as Youtube videos that have like 301 views but 30'000 ratings. The views are not updated as often as the replies. The way the forums work is they are set to update these stats every so often, not instantly, to spread the load, as there are a lot of tasks that need to be done, and the database would get bogged down if it updated every second.

Thread views update once every hour.

That's just it, Angus. They used to update every hour and they stopped doing it. I've been watching a couple of threads closely. Some of them had 10 new posts or more, but no increase in "views."

That views count has been malfunctioning for three days now.

I'm so sorry to pester you, guys, I know you have more important things to. I'm just reporting.
