I've done a bit of research here and elsewhere, seems that the iTaste MVP 2.0 and iClear16 are both highly recommended interchangeable upgrades for Kanger Evod...?

I found this (I hope it's okay to paste this link, my apologies if not) and it seems to be a great price for the battery, charger, "beauty ring"? and two tanks: iTaste MVP 2.0 iClear16 Kit from Innokin iTaste Free Shipping from USA VV VW - Rakuten.com Shopping

Can anybody tell me why I should or shouldn't buy this from there? I'm looking for not only hardware advice but vendor advice as well.

Budget is very limited and a major concern.

TIA
Brad

I.. Honestly think that they are some what sketchy, I usually buy from MyFreedomVapes or BeVapeHappy. About the Mvp, it depends on your time vape-en If your a newbie like me (1-2 months into it) i say don't do it until you have a higher knowledge on vape gear.
If you know what you're dealing with then do it, If not i suggest a Vision Variable Voltage Ego and any type of bottom feed tank. (I would suggest the Aspire Et-s Duel coil tank-Major vape clouds)

And because of your tight budget, BeVapeHappy and MyFreedomSmokes offer cupons 10% off and free shipping over 70$

I personally have never used that site and don't like recommending sites I haven't used. best price I have seen with free shipping from a site I do use is fasttech, they are in china so it could take about 2 weeks to get. End the end it's really up to you where you buy from just wanted to add my 2 cents

Rakuten is a great marketplace, it's the same thing as getting stuff from personal sellers in Amazon (not Prime), the site is just sending your order to the seller you ordered from.

Rakuten does check the business is legit, so it's probably better to order from them than unknown website you never heard of, but I don't think its better than getting from a reputable ecig distributor.

I personally even tho so many like the iClear stuff think it isn't an upgrade for an Evod but a downgrade. You fail to mention the important part as to what battery the Evod is on. I am an Evod user myself the small clearomizers do it best for taste and reliability for me and man I tried em all. My wife uses my Evods here and she loves em and when I go out and about I use her Twist and Ego batterys man they work great built with cotton and nr-r-nr coils at 2.2 ohm. They as good on her batterys as my high powered mods. As far as an upgrade to a battery long ago I picked up a Vamo and several 18350 batterys they do great with Evods.

Just an opinion is all not running down any hardware here. The best upgrade for an Evod is nr-r-nr wire and cotton that is my Evod opinion. The coils I see on new coil heads of any brand are made to work not work real good. Good airflow 4volts and that better coil will make anything work better. Also I am a thick juice user (diy) never under 80% vg and nic isn't my thing taste is. So see you need to better consider what you are upgrading for. And I only usually buy hardware a few places and discountvapers has always did me great and I am a Fasttech freak I like my junk cheap I seldom buy US resold hardware myself but when I do Discountvapers is my 1st choice. But beware Fasttech takes patience as shipping takes a couple weeks at best. A dealer is a dealer is a dealer we all have our choices there are mine. And my budget is as crippled as my non working legs so I know all about that lol.

peace out and get brave try to make your Evod better before you give up on it.

This is somewhat of a repeat of my previous questions, but I'm still confused. So maybe I suck and I'm slow on the uptake.

I'm in love with this forum; everybody is so f'ing cool and helpful, so I whole-heartedly thank you all for that.

I started with the Evod starter kit: Two identical vaporizers and one charger.

My wife basically commandeered my second Evod, so now we both end up with dead batteries, we have one charger between us... and I want more. She can have both.

I see the guys at the local vape shop blowing GIGANTIC vapor clouds, fine, that thing costs a ton of money, right? Or not..?

I understand the value of LVS and want to help them, how else can we test new flavors? But sheesh I don't want to pay more than double... Anyway...

Today I saw I guy at the grocery store exhale the biggest vapor cloud I'd ever seen in my life (and it smelled like my late grandma's chocolate chip cookies in the oven!!). I asked him about it, but it was mostly Greek to me. Very nice guy; he spoke of mod this and mod that... K100... I'm thinking, "mod to what?"

Can I upgrade my Evod piece by piece like that?

I want a huge battery with variable voltage and wattage, I want dual coils, and I want a huge vapor cloud (I do already understand vp/vg and already mix my own juice), and I don't want to accidentally burn up my coils (VW right?). I also intend to rebuild my own coils but I think I can handle that part. I have enough spares (1.8 and 2.5) for now.

So I was considering the Itaste MPV 2.0 for starters. (I posted about it already but haven't had the cash yet).

Will I want another, better battery later? Is there any kind of consensus on twist versus buttons?

Is that rectangular bottom battery doohicky the same as the cooler looking (IMHO) round doohickeys? (I know they contain the battery but what else?). I guess all the circuitry is contained in the battery part of the bottom?

Why do some vapes seem to have two parts, and some three or four? What is a telescopic?

And by the way, please define "mod". Is it just the container for the battery? Or does "mod" also include modifying the "burner doohickey" to dual coils? Seems like dual coils would be a modification to my Evod.

So I buy a VV battery mod for my Evod. Then I want to upgrade the... ugh

Cartomizer/Atomizer/Clearomizer thingamadoohicky...? What's the difference? What fits the Evod and which is best and why? I apologize I promise I really have searched but I can't find an impartial wiki. Every search wants to sell me something, it seems.

I understand that my Evod has two types of threads... does that means I can screw any/everything onto it?

My options are wide open?

Just scared to pull the trigger.

Any and all advice appreciated.

Thanks again.

I felt like I had done my research but now I've just learned how much I don't know.

tl/dr: Please help me to best upgrade my Evod to best tier 3 for newbies

Thanks, but I'm looking to upgrade the evod battery, as well as the tank. Coils are almost free if you rebuild them yourself.

I want variable voltage, automatic wattage which senses the resistance of the coil(s), and dual coils.

The tank/carto/ato/clearo thing really has me confused though.

all one stop shopping, maybe best price

Thanks, but my questions are still out there...

So I can use ANY battery with my Evod, and they are colloquially just called "mods", right?

I know that the ato/atty/atomizer/coil/head thing cooks juice, but what's the difference between them and if I want to upgrade to a dual coil... what again?

I appreciate the reply but photos aren't getting me there, I kind of need an explanation of the difference in terms.

Thanks again

Ok so I hadn't read the forums in a few days... most of my questions have already been anwered.

The one remaining I have:

Does everything, ever fit my Evod, or what? How does that work?

Your eVod topper or your eVod battery? :D

Your eVod (topper) is eGo-threaded so it will work seamlessly on eGo threaded batteries.

Your eVod battery is dual 510/eGo threaded and will work with all 510 and eGo threaded heads.

Wow, ugh. I think I'm getting there, but I still don't quite get it yet. I'm apparently extremely dense. I even went to college, this shouldn't be so hard. Trying to work through the logic though...

OK. So I take it apart, the battery part is dual threaded (hermaphrodite heh) so it works with with both 510 and eGo, right? Which is which? (cue smoke from ears) Male part of battery is eGo.

Since the tank is strictly female (eGo), if I wanted to keep my existing tanks and upgrade my battery to VV/VW, etc I can only use eGo compatible batteries.

But if the best battery is 501, I would need an adapter to connect to my eGo "topper".

Got it.

So then how does it work, upgrading through Evod to top-notch? Are the upper echelons still eGo compatible? or do I need to move to 510, or is there a simple adapter piece?

Evod tank?

But if the best battery is 501, I would need an adapter to connect to my eGo "topper".

Some APVs are 510 threaded only, other are dual threaded. Depends. most mechanicals are strictly 510, though, which means you'll need a 510>eGo adapter for your eGo (outer threads) toppers.

:D

So then how does it work, upgrading through Evod to top-notch? Are the upper echelons still eGo compatible? or do I need to move to 510, or is there a simple adapter piece?

Please specify if you mean eVod--topper or eVod--battery.

This is complicated. And I'm sure I'm making it more so than it needs to be.

Maybe I should just hand my Evod kit over to my wife and start over..

First, I want to ditch the Evod battery. So I guess the dual threads don't make any difference.

I want a big 18650 with variable voltage and automatic wattage, which will hook directly into my Evod, minus battery.

But I also want dual coils... So I need an adapter from 510 to Ego to do that, and/or nothing of Evod is even left anymore, right?

Is it better to just start over from scratch?

ETA: I would prefer 100% interchangeability if possible. Batteries, coils, tanks, the whole enchilada.

Anybody?

Is it even possible for 18650 VV and dual coil and 100% compatibility with Evod?
