Requesting help! need to replace or build a spring for my Private v2

I bought this mod a couple weeks ago and within a week of receiving it, the button started unscrewing itself and.... finally, it popped off somehow and I lost it.

I asked fasttech if they sold a replacement and sadly they don't. I've never been real handy so.... i've never thought about how to build a spring before. and I have looked around at home depot but can't find the "mechanical mod spring department"

Yeah, that's one thing that's a total pain about this mod. I've been thinking about trying to glue that aluminum top-cap onto the firing pin....

Does seem like magnets might work, though, something like these:

(I have both the mod and the magnets and could give it a try if you wish... will take me a bit to find where the magnets are)

the reviews and discussions on fast tech suggest... plumber's tape or... some sort of... glue. my own mistake for not reading em. now I have a $17 paper weight.
how do these magnets work in place of a spring. I can't think of how they would serve the function of a spring.
