19 mods , @ 25 or so clearos / glassos, a dozen or so tanks, @30 drippers and 100 or so cartos , a dozen or more batteries, along with 100's of bottles of juice : joined with me this past year, to prevent me from smoking cigarettes.

It may seem like I didn't save any money, but facts are I saved a bunch.

I enjoyed smoking and had not planed or even considered giving up cigarettes. yet after seeing someone with a disposable cig-alike, I tried one, and found myself, ignited with interest that lead me to buy something better.

so a year ago today I bought small, way overpriced EGO knockoff, which led me to follow a more enjoyable and healthier experience. I've never looked back and have thoroughly enjoyed where it has taken me. ECF, many other sites, and some great people. have greatly augmented the adventure, and I thank you all!

note: that little EGO still works but is mostly retired... :D

I bought myself a Silver Bullet some liquid and a few 5ml PBC bottom coil tanks, 20 2.4 Ohm coils, few protected 18650 3400 Mah batteries and charger. It was a tad spendy to start off but I have saved thousands of dollars in the past 11 months of not buying cigs. And I have never looked back to smoking cigs. At least with vaping you can actually enjoy different enjoyable flavors, instead of that gross ashy taste us long time smokers were addicted to. And not be subjected to 7,000+ chemicals. Grats on quitting, I smoked for 30+ years and will be a year off cigs in 23 days.

Vagabond,

That's outstanding! As a previous poster stated, folks like us with just a little bit of time in, (I've got two days until my two weeks), get a lot of encouragement from hearing other's success stories! For every post like one I read earlier, about someone who claims their doctor told them vaping was making them sick, and they decided to return back to smoking, I read 5 times that at least, threads about people who have quit on purpose or otherwise! The fact is, vaping DOES help MANY to get off cigarettes, and live a smoke free life! It's also a FACT that the majority of the people who quit save A TON of money, have fewer health problems, smell better and have greater confidence! I hope you feel VERY proud of yourself, as I am!

While I don't know you, we share a common bond, and the struggle to quit smoking is NO easy feat for the vast majority caught in it's grips. That struggle along with vaping and being members of a community of people who for the most part seem to TRULY care about people is more than enough to form a connection! It's quite awesome, especially for someone like myself, who lives in a rural area with virtually NO friends other than my husband whom I recently helped switch to vaping from smoking and dipping. There's times I wish I had someone IRL whom I could show my stuff off too lol, or talk "shop", and they'd get it or be halfway interested, but at least I have this place to come to, which in a way affords a lot more opportunities for knowledge and connections!

As far as saving money goes, I know for myself, I have purchased quite a bit of vaping gear and I don't regret a single piece! Even some of my not so greatest purchases have taught me a lot and I have been able to pass that experience on to less experienced vaporers. I like all of my "toys", because not only are the neat and interesting but they are TOOLS as well, that as you have very well found out, have been an essential part of being able to remain SMOKE FREE! (YAY!) Even with stuff I've "outgrown" or no longer desire, I am able to pass on to friends and family who are interested in and want to try vaping due to my own short success! They know for ME to be able to quit smoking for just a DAY or two WILLINGLY and without losing my mind is an impressive feat indeed!

So here's to your anniversary.....:vapor: and who knows, maybe that knockoff ego might help someone else you know or come across be able to make a similar post sometime in the future! I hope and pray, that none of the ban fears come true, and that vaping can help us and many more to lead healthier lives for a LONG time to come!
