Resistance goes down as I take a couple of hits

Here is a link to my atty.

OK... Make a new coil wire. 2.6 ohms.

Wind my coil and get all set up. 2.5 ohms

Take 2-3 hits and notice the vapor is hot and burnt. Measure... 1.? ohms!

Mess with coil, measure... 2.5 ohms

Take a couple hits and back to 1.? ohms

Done it 3 times now.

I think my no resistance wire is shorting on the ss mesh. I have it working as of now.

As you burn on the coils, they tighten around the wick, this causes the resistance to change... That's all I can think of happening here, you might need to up the # of coils to get the resistance stabilized at your desired range

I have the same issue if I don't oxidize the wick and nichrome at the same time. Try winding your coil, getting it white hot with a butane torch then dropping some juice on it. Repeat 3 times then get it connected to your atty. Most people just oxidize the wick but I have too many issues just like the ones you describe - if it doesn't get oxidized as a 'unit' I have variable ohms.
