I plan on making a simple 3.7v box mod and I went down to my local Radio Shack and picked up a small black project box, a nice momentary switch and an led and some resistors. I will be using a smok tech 18650. The LED I picked up is a 5mm 7 color blinking model. The FW current is 35mA and the FW supply is 3.2v (typical) and 3.5v (max). The resistors I bought are 10 ohm resistors. I tried using one just linked together to test my switch and led with the resistor and got nothing. When the led is hooked up by itself, all the colors light up and it gets super hot. I've tried the resistor in different combinations and still I get nothing. So my question is, what Ohm resistor do I need for my led and how do I hook it up? The LED has three prongs and the middle prong is a ground plug according to the guy at the Shack. On one of the LED legs there is a flat spot as well. If anyone can point me in the right direction, I would be incredibly happy. I also plan on using an Ego connection instead of the standard 510 connection so I can use my cone and mega cartos. I will post a separate thread once it is all together. I just need to learn to solder and put it all together wired up properly.
