i was given a dead ego with a view to fix it.
ive taken it apart and it was just a loose connection on the postitive.
soldered this back and the switch flashes 3 times and lights when button is pressed but no current is being sent to the thread.
anyway as i desoldered and replaced the switch with a brand new one...and still no current is being sent, so i replaced the wire going from the pcb to the thread and ...guess what still no joy.
ive taking the middle connection out of the thread and the rubber that surrounds it has been a little comprimised(ie split) so am thinking this is what the problem is.
would this short the whole thing or could i just put some masking tape around it to stop it making contact with the ground?
has anyone any idea what the problem is?
im a real tight .... but do like fixing things a but am fully aware of a thing called a bin so dont need advice in how to dispose of it, how cheap these batteries are and how much im saving in regard to ananlogues thank you.
thanks
james
