Reusing married 18650's

Hi All,

A while back I purchased a iStick 100w and 4 Sony VTC5's, which I have been using on a regular basis.

I married the batteries and marked them with 1 & 2 and 3 & 4 and rotated them in the iStick.

I am now looking at purchasing a smok X Cube II and was wondering if I can use these 4 18650's in the smok or do I have to buy another 4?

Any help would be appreciated

You should be fine with those batteries.

I agree with @gpjoe, no problem using those VTC5's in another mod.
They're 20A batteries though so I recommend not going much over 120W. If you want to vape higher than that I recommend the VTC4.

as long as the pairs dont get mixed you should be fine i have 4 sets of batteries for 3 different mods and i use all sets in all the mods no issues thus far

As long as they are still married pairs you should be fine but like @Mooch said

Married Batteries:
Batteries paired to work and charge together.
Application is not particularly to one device.
Intent is matched wear and balance.

This would be unnecessary if the industry had proper batteries and chargers per application.
Balance charging multi-cell batteries has been around for many years.

I never marry my batteries. Eventually they get tired of each other, resentment builds up, and get divorced.

I've personally taken married batteries and turned them into married mech mod batteries with great success, I just can't ever go back to using them with series boxes again(like sigeleis, ipvs, snow wolfs, etc etc. with quality parallel boxes it doesn't really matter). Either way you should be fine to use those batteries with both devices no problem assuming they are both dual 18650 devices.
