So I'm getting ready to go to Disney World this week, and I wanted to try the new tank system and have it ready to take on vacation. I already have the Riva 510 system, and shipping from cignot is always very fast. (order at 5pm, and it arrives on my doorstep before Noon! Then again, it's shipping from one town over...

Leaks like a SOB, but otherwise seems to be a better product than the standard cartridges. (As for the cartos, that's been a disaster on my end...)

So I went over to gotvapes and ordered two Turbine "tankomizers". Hell, it's just an atomizer and a tank... Since I'm going out of state, I paid $20+ for express shipping. What that translates to is that a day or two later he dropped it in the mail -- standard first class mail. Not even priority mail. I'm definitely feeling ripped off.

I've had it for a few hours now, and the fluid is already leaking into the mouthpiece, so with the liquid I'm getting bits of fluid on my tongue...

Not a happy camper.

Hahah, no warranty at all. If it's DOA they'll work with you otherwise forget it if it's more than a day or so. I ordered a 510 knock off battery from them which failed 2 weeks later. So sorry, no warranty for you.

I too tried the Turbine and for the first day or so it was ok, with leaking of course. I got around that major problem by ensuring the tank was positioned correctly, it was not laying with the flat portion down, etc..

Now, today it stopped firing when I switched batteries. I had to tighten it a bit more than I should have to so there's a variation in manufacturing tolerances. For the record I took the same atty and attached it to another battery and it did the same thing. I also cleaned the threads and contact points on each atty and battery with pure PG humidor cleaner and a Q-tip. Some minor discoloration but not enough to cause electrical connectivity failure.

I want these to work because when they do they produce a ton of vapor but i'm seeing a quick and steady decline in performance over the past couple of days. I realize these are ultimately disposable but I expect more than a couple of days of performance before showing signs of failure.

I think they have to refine this a bit more. I'm going to try lightly scratching the contact points and examine the contact surfaces to see if the plating is corroding and causing the lack of electrical continuity.

I don't want to dogpile on them. I know they're trying to do the right thing and bring forth new and exciting products but development and QA testing need to be refined or they need a new manufacturer.

I'm not a fan of the ego-t, but never had it leak on me. My friend got one, I showed him how it works, told him not to twist the tank when it's inserted... he said "Well, I'm twisting it, I want it lined up with the button." About 10 minutes later it dumped the whole tank, he refilled, dumped it again... told him not to twist it...

Leaks into mouthpiece can be fixed by not drawing as hard and popping the tank cart out every 5-10 puffs and wiping the moisture off the outside of the cart, along with removing both inserts(on mouthpiece of cart) that restrict airflow and "prevent" juice from entering your mouth. Also when finishing your drag, continue to draw once you've let go of the button to clear the chamber as this vapor left in will collect on the walls of the cone and cartridge causing a diminished flavor/vapor next use along with a possible bit of it being sucked into the channels on the sides of the carts into the mouthpiece and then your mouth.

Thanks to everyone for their comments and support! This is the first I've heard about the "no twisting" rule though. Can't think of a logical reason why it should be that way though...

After having used it for a day now, no more leaks into the mouthpiece. A little leaking the other way, but that's going to be a given, methinks.

What I actually want is more air-flow through the unit. When I get back from Disney World, I may break out the dremel and add another air-slit or two where the atomizer joins the battery. I'll also be looking at picking up some LR cartos, and this time have a friend sit down with me and show me how they're used. (I saw some instructions on the website and trying to follow them was just a PITA. So I tried drop filling through the hole in the carto, but then that would overflow and leak out the bottom... Big mess all around.) At least I have something that works for now. And I'll bring the fishing tackle box of stuff, so I can use different methods if needed...
