I received my Electron 510 (Electronicstix bargain brand) about 2 weeks ago. I am a poor college student, so the sale for a $30 kit appealed to me. Outright, let me say I am disappointed, and I should have gone genuine Joye.

batteries: The batteries are fine. I have yet to try a genuine Joye 510 battery (and probably never will, as I am upgrading to an eGo as soon as I have the funds), but it seems the battery life is as good as to be expected with a 510. No problems there.

Atomizers: This is where the problem lies. These Electron atomizers are junk. 1. They are made poorly and 2. they do not last.
1. The atomizers I received were two different sizes. The one was fine, but the second one's opening was far too large, as my cartridge kept sliding out, even when the atty's walls weren't covered in e-juice.
2. The first atty I used died in a week. I was initially willing to bite the bullet on this one and admit maybe I was not careful enough, that its death was possibly due to my misuse. I thought I perhaps flooded it. But trust me, after the second one died, I realize it's not my fault. The second one died after about 3 days of LIGHT usage. I took care of this one, cleaning it every 24-48 hours to be sure. There was no flooding, no user error. This thing was just a piece of junk.

In hindsight, I wish I had gone for the Joye. I learned after I ordered that cignot carries a Joye 510 for $35, just $5 more than I paid. Electronicstix is still a great company. Jason was fabulous with customer service (he threw in some extra carts and some cartos for no cost), but I will not order his Joye clone parts ever again, as they are simply sub-par.

In short, I do not recommend seeking bargain deals. As lower price, at least in this case, meant lower quality. Now, if you'll excuse me, I have to go order some more atties.
