So, after having a few beers and on a whim, my girlfriend and I decided to see just how bad a real cigarette tastes. We went outside totally expecting this to be horrible so we brought our PVs too. This was a Marlboro Black 100.

On light up - smell of burnt paper, dirty, musty stench.

Throat hit - none, I could have sucked my brains out and not gotten a vape TH from this crap.

Taste - Besides burning paper, nothing pleasant, just pure crap.

Exhale - Well, as I was breathing real smoke out, it does have an exhale quality, but I've actually seen better on some of my juices I've gotten with high VG. I have one juice from vape Dudes, Orange Cream, pretty low nic, but 70% VG. It amuses me to vape this one as it produces huge clouds.

Overall - She took one drag and said no way, I took three chain drags and threw it out...disgusting

How long has it been since you had a analog before you did this?? It's been over a year for me and 7 months for my wife. We were both at a restaurant that still has a smoking section, we sat there knowing we could vape. The smell from actual cig smoke made my eyes burn and it made my wife nauseated. Neither one of us has the desire to smoke anymore, and with your story, about how a cig tastes, we now know for sure! Thanks for posting this.

It's only been a bit over a month...we were prompted by the idea after we went to the liquor store tonight and a band of hooligans were sitting outside the Subway were smoking stink sticks, it reeked so bad. So we tried one, totally not worth it but it was fun to just know that cigs suck compared to vaping.

So what your sayin is that it is not you in your AV.

If you mean avatar, it very well could've been me. Back then give me some beer and some smoke and I'd plow through a pack in about 6 hours.

I knew for sure I wasn't going to like smoking the analog. My first week after I got my eGo and Stardust clearo's I kept thinking I wanted a cig. Still had some, lit one, then threw it out after a few puffs thinking it was disgusting and picked up my PV instead. Now it's not so much tempting fate, as it is a funny whim and a reminder to "Why the ...... did I do this?"

I've been vaping for over a year now, and the first few months I'd bum a cigarette here and there from my friends who still smoke. Every time I did that my reaction was very similar, that these things are AWFUL. Eventually I stopped bumming cigarettes and learned my lesson, but I think that was a very important part of my quitting completely.

Just knowing how bad they are I really have no desire to even smell a cigarette anymore, let alone smoke one. Cigarette cravings are a thing of the past for me.

Yep, I've done it just to be social, but now I just tell them "no thanks, but I'll go outside with you" and bring my PV . They always want to try it too.

dang I actually thought of buying a pack today, after my new strawberry banana juice tightened up my chest something awful. I guess some juices do that and some don't?????

Wow, I've never had a juice "tighten up my chest". However if I chain vape for more than 1/2 hour (I vape 6-12mg) my heart rate increases a little and I feel shake-y. Which is strange, because I used to chain smoke. LOL :vapor:

You could be developing an allergy to PG. It happens with some people. Try an all-VG vape, see if it does the same.

the review of smoking an analog is very similar to my experience.
During the first few months of vaping, I still had some cig cravings.
My wife still smoked so I would coax a drag out of her, "Honey, I want to see what I'm missing."
One drag was enough to send me reeling with disgust.
I do not have cravings anymore to "try" and analog- they truly are disgusting.
It's hard to imagine how I looked forward to these every day and smoked 2PADS for over 30 years.

I smoke a cigarette every few months, just for fun really.

It doesn't taste good, but to me it isn't quite as disgusting as most people find them to be.
In other words, I can and do smoke the whole thing.

I think my greatest disappointment is how little vapor and throat hit they produce.
If I ever had to go back to them for any reason, it would be a massive downgrade from my current setup.

To me, after a year of vaping like I just licked an ashtray... I can't imagine why I even started smoking and got past that taste..

I'm with ya on this one. I started 20 years ago because it was the "cool" thing to do, and all the rebellious kids did it. I didn't like the taste, it just became an acquired thing, and then I became addicted. The last year or so that I was still smoking, I was embarrassed about it and would hide my smoking from co-workers, friends, etc. It just went so against my healthy lifestyle, yet until I discovered vaping, it seemed impossible to stop.
