Hi guys (and gals!)... I don't do juice reviews very often because as many of you know (I've complained about it enough!), I really don't find many juices I like. It's rare when I do, and to make matters worse, sometimes I'll hit on something I think is pretty great after trying a sample, finally get around to ordering a large bottle of it, only to realize that I don't care for it any more when it arrives. I attribute this to the evolution of flavor preference typical of a (somewhat) new vaper... after all, it's been just over a year since I quit smoking. At least I hope that's what it is. It may also be that I'm just d-mn picky.

Here's the real reason for my "choosiness": plain and simple, I don't do sweet. And to top it off, I hate imitation flavor. (Same thing with food; I won't touch "diet" or "low-fat" versions of anything and prefer whole foods, especially what I can grow myself in my garden.) So that eliminates most commercially produced e-juice - I'd say near 75% of them are overly-sweetened, taste fake, or both. I've been vaping one to four flavors since my adventure began, and it really hasn't changed much.

With that in mind, you'll know that for me to write this, I had to have discovered something pretty unusual. I do believe I have. HJuice.

The whole HJuice line is well above average and you'll probably see me writing up another review soon... Every flavor tastes like it was slaved over in a laboratory till perfection was reached. That is; every flavor actually tastes like what it is supposed to be.

But far and away my favorite at the moment is Orango (named for a beverage they sell in the UK). Ever since I put this stuff in a dripper, I haven't vaped anything else. I'm in love! The name says it - it's orange. But that description falls short of what I want to convey. It's the best, most realistic, most delicious orange EVER, and if you weren't a fan of the idea of vaping orange before, this juice will 100% swing you over to the dark side. (Or is it the citrus side?)

So good. I wish all fruit e-liquid was like this. The flavor is true, unfettered by sugar or sugar substitutes, and just complex enough to keep your tongue interested. HJuice has done something else here beyond replicating the genuine taste of an orange. I also detect a hint of the peel grated in - gives it balance and character, and escalates the "essence of real orange" experience on the exhale. It's the same principle behind adding bitters to cocktails, and chefs use this method as well to deepen flavors, add life, cut sweetness, and create layers. Absolutely brilliant. No wonder they call it "zest!" :D

Worth mentioning: Orango is the perfect companion to all sorts of beverages including beer, wine, coffee, tea... and tequila! And it's divine with a blood orange martini. If I can find a reason to stop vaping it, I'll let you know. I'm pretty excited about this... more to come :vapor:

Revisiting this because I finally let myself start trying out the other flavors and got inspired again. The chocolate mint "After 8," tastes exactly like the candies - I mean EXACTLY.

A bit rich for all-day vaping but really nice for an after-dinner vape or a sweet in the morning with coffee. Comparing this to other high end chocolate mints, I have to say this is becoming a new favorite for me because pf the authentic taste of the chocolate. It stacks up even to Five Pawns Bowden's Mate. One of the hardest things to do is make chocolate taste like chocolate in an e-juice (I've tried) - HJuice figured it out. I know they make their own flavors from natural extracts, but I would LOVE to know how they do this chocolate. I'm having fantasies already of mixing it with the orange to make one of these:

I read somewhere that vaping was being considered for use in weight loss protocols, and I think I get why now. If you were trying to lose weight, or even quitting chocolate forever (the horror!), you could vape this juice and get the satisfaction you were craving... with no calories. Brilliant idea and if anyone asks, it was mine. ;)

OK one flavor by HJuice that I DO NOT like: Menthol Eucalyptus

It's a "well balanced but very, very strong Menthol Eucalyptus with a touch of mint." For me this was enough eucalyptus to clear my sinuses... and every other passageway in my body too. Just too overpowering. Someone out there may like it (it does taste exactly like what it is supposed to), but too much for me.

That said, I dove into Sparky Current (sparkling blackcurrant) this week. WoW! This is a good one. Will be writing a review soon - stay tuned.
