I got my batch of juice in the mail earlier, and was told to leave some reviews by Annette, so here goes.
The Flavors:
- tobacco (50/50 18mg Standard Flavor)
- Original Sin (50/50 18mg Extra Flavor)
- Juicy Watermelon (50/50 18mg Extra Flavor)
- Sweet Summer Lemonade (100% VG, 12mg Standard Flavor)
- Fresh Thai Mango (100% VG, 12mg Standard Flavor)
- Red Hot Cinnamon (100% VG, 12mg Standard Flavor)
I'm not going to be able to review the Tobacco until tomorrow because I've only got 5 new cartos waiting, and want to put the tobacco into the VMod I should be getting tomorrow. I steeped the other 5 flavors in a cup of hot water, then let them cool and put them into the carto's to soak for an hour.
Original Sin (50/50 18mg) Rating: 5/5
This is an apple flavor that smells just like a sour green apple when I cracked the top of the bottle open. After I soaked the carto I did about 5 dry pulls to get the vapor producing, then took my first long pull. It is tasty, very tasty. I don't know what to compare it to, other than sucking on a sour apple lollipop. It's got a good throat hit, doesn't really kick like some of the RY4 I get from my local smoke shop, but it is a satisfying throat hit regardless. It made a good amount of vapor. Very happy with this one, and will definitely be ordering it again.
Juicy Watermelon (50/50 18mg) Rating: 5/5
This one, when I cracked the bottle open, had sort of an alcohol smell to it, which I am guessing comes from the extraction, so I had a few doubts before I started vaping it. After the carto was good and soaked I blew out the excess and started the dry pulls. Took one long pull and inhaled, and again got a satisfying throat hit. I couldn't taste the flavor so much on the inhale, but during the exhale it was a lot of watermelon. The flavor stayed on my lips, and my girlfriend started giving me weird looks when I was smacking my lips after every pull. All I could say was 'om nom nom' and took another pull. Very good, satisfied with the throat hit, a lot of flavor, and an OK amount of vapor.
Sweet Summer Lemonade (100vg 12mg) Rating: 4/5
This is the first one that came in my sample pack. I'd never tried 100% VG before so I didn't quite know what to expect. Cracking the bottle open smelled like a cross between a lemon head candy, and a drink I get at the bar called a Lemon Drop (Lemon Juice, Vodka & Sugar). When I started vaping it, I noticed a lotttttt of flavor coming through on both the inhale and exhale. It tasted just like it smelled. A creamy style of a lemon head candy. The watermelon and apple produced a lot more vapor for some reason, and the throat hit was non existent. I'd heard VG reduced the throat hit, but produced more vapor, so I'll come back to this one once I get my VMod and try again. Regardless, I'll be ordering this one again in a 50/50 18mg mix next time. Definite keeper.
Fresh Thai Mango (100vg 12mg) Rating: 4/5
Ok, this one I had high expectations for because mango is one of my favorite foods. I actually ate a mango 2 days ago so I made sure I could evenly compare the juice to the fruit. Opening the bottle doesn't really smell like a mango, so I started to get worried. I took a few dry pulls to make sure I was going to get a good soaked coil, and then tasted for the fruit. It is there, but not nearly as much as I'd like. The VG mix, again, didn't produce nearly as much vapor as the watermelon or apple, so I'll have to visit this one again when I get a new atty tomorrow. Right now, it tastes good, with a mild mango flavor, non-existent throat hit (VG/low nic are the culprits here I think) and a good plume, although not as much as I'm used to. I'll be ordering this one again, as well, but in a much larger bottle in my new standard 50/50 18mg extra flavor mix.
Red Hot Cinnamon (100vg 12mg) Rating: 6/5
You could smell this one as soon as I opened the box up. It is strong, lol.
I soaked a carto in it, and even before I took the first dry pull I could taste it in my mouth. This flavor is strong, did I already say that? It tastes like a mix between an atomic fireball and the red hots candies. Definitely can't be an all day vape, but when I need something that tickles the senses, this is going to be the one that does it. It didn't have a throat hit (again, I think the VG and low nic took it out) and produced a nice cloud that had my girlfriend telling me to get out of the kitchen. When I went back in 15 minutes later I could still smell the cinnamon in the air. It is tasty, tasty, tasty though. I'm going to be heading out for drinks tomorrow night, so I figure if I'm going to regret something Sunday morning, it's going to be vaping all of this juice tomorrow evening mixed with excessive amounts of beer. Go big, or go home right? I probably won't be ordering it again, but I wanted to see what all the fuss was about, and it matches it's name perfectly: Red Hot Cinnamon.
-------------------------------------------------
All in all, I am very happy with my order. I've been on a mission to find flavors that I could stand to vape, with my record being 1 out of every 5 juices I tried. Thankfully, I'm able to vape all 5 of these so far, even though I may not be able to vape the cinnamon that often. There's no side flavors, perfumes, or other nastiness that I've had with other flavors I've tried. I'm going to be one of Annette's customers for as long as I'm vaping. The flavors are great, and the only downsides I have with the order is that the sample kit wasn't able to be customized to my 50/50 high nic that I prefer, but it was a good enough sample to get me to re-order them in my preferred setup later. Had the sample pack come in 50/50 18mg I'd have rated all 5 juices at a 5/5 except the cinnamon -- it's in a league of it's own.
I'll update the review again tomorrow when I can run some of the Tobacco through the VMod, as well as the VG mixes through a new atty.
-------------------------------------------------
P.S. I just wanted it to be known that the 4/5 ratings were, in my humble opinion, only because it was 100% VG and lower mg nic strength than I'm used to. I will be placing orders in the near future for 2 of the 3 sample flavors, in a higher PG ratio so I can mix them together. These juices were all winners!
