To my delight I noticed that a new vapour shop had opened close to where I stay (Ayr) I popped in today to hopefully spend some money and support the place as I am all for supporting local businesses. The prices were crazy! It was all branded "Totally Wicked" which looked very professional, the guy serving was very pleasant too but he was asking £8.99 for a 20ml bottle of menthol! That wasn't even the premium juice. I can buy a 10ml bottle for £1.95. I am aware that he has overheads to meet and all that but c'mon that is one hell of a markup? He was looking for £14.99 for a mini nova kit which I can pickup for £8.99. I was.So disappointed I just walked out and said I would think about it and maybe come back but at those prices I can't see it. Am I being unfair? Does he really need to charge that sort of markup?

I dont think that £8.95 for 20ml is that bad tbh. Yes, there are lots of places where you can get juice cheaper (and better in some cases) but there are also vendors who are more expensive than that too.

As Chrissie said they are a UK based company... not too far from me actually in East Lancashire, which incidentally is also home to Liberty Flights & Vape Escape :)

Totally Wicked are a franchise, they have shops all over the world. They charge a high price but it's all good quality, too expensive for me though.

Me too.

I visit my local TW now and again, for liquids I can't get elsewhere or make myself.

Sadly, I couldn't see myself buying a battery or any more clearomisers. £8.95 for 20ml is acceptable (for certain flavours). However, I do feel their £6.99 bottles of 10ml are wayyyy too expensive.

I cant agree with that. The RCS tank i got that was part of the Tornado VV Kit was awful. Rather than screwing the part with the head/coil onto the base like you would with a protank, you push it down into a washer, which didnt seem like a good system when i first saw it, but it was my first tank, so wasnt sure. It gurgled, leaked & flooded incessantly no matter whether the head was new or old. I cleaned it and took it apart, took more shallow puffs to try and help, but no good. It's also polycarbonate and i bought citrus style juices with it and wasnt warned it could crack, then suprise suprise, it got hazed up and then cracked.

It may be that some of their other stuff is better quality, to be fair the actual VV unit itself has lasted well and it may have been a faulty tank because i never took it back into the shop to have it checked... i just moved on and bought different gear anyway, but i also got an atomiser as part of the evic kit i got from TW in a sale and it was dead from the start. I emailed and asked for a new one, but they gave me a troubleshooting helpline, which i just didnt have the time to ring :( Not their fault, but i have dealt with other companies and when i've said something isnt working i've got a replacement posted out to me free and received it within a day or two.
