OK I have decided to listen to you guys and save my 20 bucks (was going to buy njoy at gas station) and go with a little better device. I have narrow it down to Riva 510, (but concerned with shipping from UK) and The Joye Ego. I am looking for big TH and lots of vapor. Also don't want to have to worry about having to constantly charge batteries, (during the day) I like the look of the bigger/wider/rounder battery. Thoughts? Opinions? Suggestions?

Also what is this dripping I have been reading about? And the dripping tips? Don't understand them at all?

Any recommendions on where to buy? My buddy goes NicotineNirvania.com ???? Looking for fast shipping and reliable products.

Where do you get the best flavored juice? NN.com doesn't seem to have a wide variety. My buddy only vapes the tabacco flavor, I think I may want to at least try some flavors?

Thanks ALL!

Good call. I think I am one of the people who advised against the NJOY. I started on an NJOY and within a week I had upgraded to the eGo and wish I could get back the $100 I spent on NJOY hardware and cartos.

The Riva 510 and the eGo are basically the same thing -- a 510 kit with an expanded battery. If the eGo is easier for you to acquire, go for it.

These e-cigs have 3 basic components: the battery, the atomizer, and the cartridge that holds the liquid like a sponge, slowly releasing it to the cartridge. Dripping is bypassing the cartridge, and manually putting a few drops of juice directly onto the atomizer, and then vaping through a mouthpiece that comes with the atomizer (basically a cartridge without the filler sponge-like stuff).

I'm still a newb, but I really, really like AltSmoke.com. They have a pretty basic inventory, so the site is not as confusing as some. They also carry lots of juices in tobacco and fruit/dessert flavors. I love their "Our 4" and "American 55" tobacco juices, and the Green Apple fruit juice. They ship ridiculously fast -- if I order something on, say, a Wednesday morning, it will be at my house by Friday with standard shipping. They also stand by their stuff, and their prices are as good as anyone else's.

The Riva will deliver about 3.7 volts, the eGo about 3.2 volts. The higher voltage of the Riva will give a hotter vape and more TH. They are similar in size and parts and accessories for them are interchangeable. The eGo is regulated, meaning it will provide the same voltage until the battery discharges. The Riva, on the other hand, is unregulated: it will start off closer to 4 volts and the voltage diminishes as the battery discharges. Personally I preffer the Riva for it's higher voltage.

A good source for both in the US is Liberty Flights. Make sure you click on the 20% Discount button. They ship fast and have reasonable prices.

A good alternative to these would be the KGO or the ePower at Hoosiers.

When dripping one would place a couple of drops of juice onto an atomizer, take a few drags and then repeat. Note that you don't use the fillered cartridge when dripping. Remove the filler or use a drip tip. The drip tip has a larger opening for the vapor, and this also allows you to drip without having to remove the tip. Drip tips are also used by some on cartomizers for looks or comfort.

No need to buy from the UK. Liberty-Flights has US and UK shops. The US payment may sem to be processed through a UK service but just make sure you shop from Liberty-Flights.com which is their US shop.

Liberty-Flights.com in the US - all of the Riva 510 kits are 3.7v because they are all new stock from the correct manufacturer. Press the 20% off front page (upper left) first and then shop at the lowered prices.

I went with those exact Riva 510's because they are 3.7v, the same voltage as 3.7v mods. So they give a bit more heat out of the same atomizers and cartomizers vs Ego (3.4v).

Consider the new Riva 510 SE black kit with 3-click shutoff - would make it safer to pocket.

I recommend you also buy a 510 drip tip and some Boge cartomizers (3 ohm to learn on, then if you want hotter try the 2 ohms). Boge are the most popular cartomizers for 510 devices.

I drip to test juices and to vape some thicker ones. My everyday vapes are thin juices and I vape with the Boge cartomizers. Most people do most of their vaping with cartomizers. After you try the Boges there are a lot more exotic cartos but Boge are still the favorites. With them I use thin clear juices, PG w/ 20% or less VG, and I avoid juices that seem to drop a lot of flavoring sediment in the stuffing (clogs everything - cartos and attys).
