Hi, I hope someone can help me,
I have a skycig which is great for when I'm out or at work but I'm looking to get something better for home use.
I've had a look at the cloud9 website and am looking at buying just one battery that will last all day, a charger and some cartomizers. The ego t xl 1000mah and the riva 510 950mah look quite good but I'm not sure which one to go for. Does anyone know anything about them, any help would be appreciated, thanks.

Here is my 10 pence worth...

I used the "normal" e-cig ones like you for work and it was good and all (the Leberro Realis or however you spell it) but it only lasted about 15 mins before needding recharging. So I brought the Tornado from TW, this is a brill bit of kit but then as time passes it wears out and I finaly got around to ordering a Mega 1000mha Tornado battery and the 1.2ml Tank system and all I can say is.....WOW. Its bloody amazing and is pretty much what I have been searching for on my 1 + year quest of vaping.

You can fill it up and It will last for ages, the battery is perfect holding a full days charge and all you need when your out is two tanks pre-filled so no more direct dripping!!!!.. YES it has some minor issues like a tiny tiny bit of residue that gathers on the outside of tank, but this is covered anyway so need to worry!.

If you want somthing that will last you and is conveniant, go for a tank system (with a megga battery if you dont mind the extra inch size :p )

Good luck buddy!!

Sorry but the voltage means nothing to me, does that mean the riva would be better then?
And I've never heard of the tornado so i will have a look at that.

3.7 volts will provide warmer vapor (more cigarette like) than a 3.4 volt battery. Many of us actually use 5 volt and variable volt batteries that provide the warmest vapor and more consistency.

I would go with the Riva over the eGo but I would get the Riva UNC that has a better battery than the regular Riva. But if you really want a model the size of the eGo but has much better batteries that last 4 - 5 times longer (lifetime wise) but only cost about $4 instead of the $15+ for ego batteries, then get the E-Power 510.

Electronic Cigarette - Starter Kits - Riva UNC

Another better option than the eGo is the KGO. Much better batteries.

I use the ego-t type B. Will say occasional leaking issues, but otherwise love it. My battery is 950 mAh (lasts the day). Actually just ordered a second starter kit to have extras around just in case, but no need at this point. Both my orders have been through Liberty Flights (20% of in upper left corner). Have had to deal with customer services a few times over an atomizer issue, but it was my bad (dry hit it a little hard causing a burnt metalic taste). Will say they were OUTSTANDING to deal with and definately solution based

Oh ok, sorry I must sound really stupid, you all seem to know what you're talking about.
I think I will probably go with the riva then.
Thanks for all your help :)

I can't recommend 1 over the other, but I have had a Tornado Tank for about 2 weeks and am very happy with it. I smoked 2 packs/day for over 25 years and haven't even thought about picking up an analog since my first vape. I did just order a Provari that should be here after the weekend, but not due to being unhappy with the T. I just wanted to experiment. Whichever one you choose, I hope it works as good for you as it has for me.

Not stupid at all. I have been here only a month and can say that everyone has been great at answering my silly questions. It is really a matter of sorting through all the replies and finding what suits you since each of us is different

You said it all with an economy of words. I want to learn to do that :)

Thanks, Boodle!. I had a couple of very good English teachers in high school and college. Plus I worked in the corporate world for many years where succinct writing was valued. I think you do fine, though. Plus you give good advice.

I went with the Joye ego because it had a 6 month warranty when I purchased it and the Riva had a 3 month warranty. I think they both have a 2 month warranty at LF now so it's really a moot point. I do have a Riva too.

I don't notice much (any really) difference regarding the voltage when I vape. Both are good. I like the soft button on the Riva better but like the silver band on the Joye better. The Riva has a gold band in the center. Go with the one that's cheaper.
