Basic question is are the Riva and Ego batteries the same? reason I ask is I am looking at some Atomizers:eGo-T Tank Atomizers (~3.0 ohm) [eGo-T Atomizers] - $5.99 : ValueVapor.com, Discount Electronic Cigarettes and e-Liquid
Which state they work with "ANY" 510 ego battery, so my question is would the Riva battery work the same or is there a difference? Looking at getting a Riva kit this weekend but want to make sure the Atty's I like work with it. Also, since the Riva is a 650mAh battery I assume a LR Atty is the way to go? Thanks in advance!!!!!!:)

Riva and eGo batteries are interchangeable. The difference is that eGo batteries are 3.4v devices due to the pulse width modulation of the regulator inside. Riva batteries are 3.7v and are direct connect batteries like in a flashlight.

eGo batteries will last longer on a charge because the voltage to the atty is constant. Riva will give you slightly less charge life each time, but a warmer vape and more flavor at the beginning of the charge. As you vape, the Riva will decrease in voltage until it hits 3.2v and then flash, indicating it needs to be charged.

This is purely preference. I like eGo batteries on a Boge 2.0 ohm carto. The Boge LR 2.0 carto is a little harsh to me at 3.7v and the eGo is good from start to finish at 3.4v.
