As I am still trying to wrap my head around this Reomizer stuff, can someone set me straight on something please? I have my original Reo Grand with the original spring, contact. Ordered a repair kit but that was right before the new ones with the upgraded goodies came out. So ... is it okay to use the Reomizer on a 'stock' Grand or should it have the upgraded contact and spring to really work properly?

It is just fine to use on a "stock" grand unless you are planning to go very low sub ohm.

It will work just fine with the original contacts as long as you stay above 0.5 ohms. The old springs will sag at low sub-ohm. The new contacts have less voltage drop so they hit harder at any given resistance and will also support low sub-ohm vaping.

0.5Ω will cause sagging, just not as quickly. You're better off above 0.7Ω or so. But as you said, you're comfortable around 1.5Ω, which is great for an original stock user.

In the future, however, when you have a chance, I'd still recommend purchasing the new kit. It will increase your battery life, and with resistance that high it will require little to no maintenance. Your old stock kit will require occasional cleaning and buffing.

Good luck.

I'm glad zmauls popped in with the battery life part, otherwise I would have mentioned it. GJ you!
